[The scroll opens with Dust standing in front of a shelf packed with books. He's in the library, which as he has been told, is a place where you can get books to read. Dust had managed to miss the part where Twilights live in the library, but truth is, he's unclear on the concept in general.]

[Falana had no libraries, you see, and Dust has technically never read a book in his life.]

This... seemed like a good idea at the time, but does anyone have any advice on where to start?

[Here is Dust, as usual not big on the eye-contact thing. He has absolutely no idea what he missed on the scrolls the other day, for that matter...]

I think I need to face facts and admit that there's really not much work available for a swordsman around here.

I don't suppose anyone's been sitting on a large number of jobs that can only be solved by a sharp edge...

[Yeah, in his own way, Dust is trying to ask for advice on what to do to actually keep himself going financially. Especially since he's not looking out for just himself any more.]

[The screen comes on and there’s… nobody. Ah wait, no! There’s a butterfly. Bouncing up and down and shining as brightly as a twinkling star.]

Whooooa, this is cool! Hey! Can anybody hear me? Hellooooo is anybody there? Wow! This is sooo much more convenient then yelling at the top of your lungs! Now there is no excuse when somebody says that they don’t hear you!

Alright, so, yes, I should probably focus and not waste time on this thing? Can you even waste time here? Hmm… well, that’s a question that can be answered later, I guess. So, right, my name is… Butterfly. Yeah, yeah, I know. Pretty obvious. Wanna argue about it? Actually, that’s probably not a very good idea. I mean, what are you going to say when you lose to a butterfly? That’s gotta be a new low if I ever heard of one. And I spent most of my early life crawling on my belly! Ha!

So, hey, obviously this isn’t the world that I wanted to be around, and obviously that means that this whole thing is somebody else’s doing, so I want to know some answers. Um. Please? I mean you can’t all be displaced people from different worlds, right? Right.

Oh, and hey, if there’s anybody else that also has room for a butterfly in their home, I’m definitely in the market for one! I don’t need much room, honest! Just a dishful of sugar water and maybe an unused corner of the room! C’mon! You won’t even notice I was there!!

Hey Equestria...I got a question for you, mostly this is for the other outlanders like myself, but...anyone is free to weigh in here. I'd like the input.

How many of you use friendship, or similar bonds, as a source of strength for yourselves back home?

Some pretense to that...where I come from there are creatures called Digimon. I myself am half-digimon. Long story to that, but I won't bore you with the details right now. A digimon is a creature born of digital data, they are however highly receptive to emotions and can grow stronger as they grow closer to others, becoming stronger and stronger as those bonds mature and grow.

Emotions from those that we make friend with rub off on us, we can become stronger, or weaker because of it, or we can become too strong that we can't control ourselves.

[He rubs at his cheek with a hoof and sighs deeply.]

Not only digimon have exhibited this trait, though. There is another being called a Net Navi where I'm from, another digital life-form, this one artificially created by humans. There's an entire battle tournament surrounding them even. A Navi and their NetOp, when they have a strong enough bond, can create powerful combinations with battle chips. They can even fuse together, share the core of their beings with another, the NetNavi’s can even form friendships of their own that unlock hidden potentials...

[ He holds a hoof over his chest reflexively, almost like he was reassuring himself about something...]

The core of my question is how many of you have something similar back home? An undertone to that is how many of us have forgotten about that? That we've taken it for granted or just forgotten our own basics? This place works on its own rules. Just like those of NetNavis, or Digimon...working together, believing in one another...we’ve heard it a lot lately, and seen that here, it’s its own force to be reckoned with. Friendship. We’re all in this together, and if we're going to-

[He stops short and scoffs softly to himself.]

Sorry. Getting off track...Anyways...just something I’ve been thinking about lately. If anyone would rather speak with me in person or private, you’re always welcome to call on me at the commune or approach me while I’m on duty in the Night Market.

[Ah, the night time. The best time for a Draculina to go out and about. Despite having wings, she's not flying. She's just walking around, trying to figure out where everything is.

With all of the crazy things that have been going on recently, she's just chosen to keep to herself and watch out for Integra or her Master. She hadn't found either one of them in the few weeks that she arrived, but she hoped that they were all right.

The town was quite a change from what she was used to, but she liked it and was thankful that she didn't have to worry about killing Nazi vampires here. She could just relax for the most part and be herself.

She still needed to pay attention though and nearly ran into somepony.

I'm sorry!

[The pegasus turns away from the scroll once he activates it, stepping a few feet away to sit down on the cloud. The sun sets in the distance, as the night drifts in from behind the scroll. The ground is nowhere in sight.]

When I got this form back, I figured things were getting back to normal, but I'd still like to hear that all the fighting is over and all the strangeness is done. If it is... I'm coming back to Ponyville.

The dungeon's closed. The one under Canterlot. I tried to go there to get some practice in. [He shakes his head.] No good, though. Which means there really is nowhere left with monsters, or someone who needs to be stopped for the good of... well, anyone.

I'm starting to think my coming here was a mistake. Or unintentional...

[Dust isn't really comfortable using this scroll. He's not even looking straight at it, which seems pointless considering his hat hides his eyes, but it helps him psychologically.]

I know a lot of you are flying around a cloud city lately. If any of you should see a nimbat up there, named Fidget... I'm looking for her. I'd be grateful if you could point her my way, or tell me.

Also, I'm supposed to talk to Queen Melissa, and 'the Flutters', at some point. I'm told you can help me. If you're out there

[He starts to fold up the scroll, then pauses. Right, something important to mention.]

My name is Dust.

[Sometime after the ponies wake up, scrolls and quills suddenly start raining from the sky. Don't worry, its not the ponypocalypse, its just a squadron of flying white ponies dropping them from above.

Once everyone receives one, the scrolls suddenly glow and come to life, its surface revealing the visage of a large white alicorn with rainbow hair and a golden crown, sitting on a large, velvet-upholstered throne. She has a calm, reassuring, regal smile on her face as she speaks, though those who know her better can see the light of worry and concern in her eyes.]

Good afternoon, newponies! I am Princess Celestia.

I've heard of your arrival in Ponyville and of some of the more interesting stories that have come from it. We're...not certain how this phenomenon has occurred, but we here at the royal castle will put our efforts into solving this mystery, and I hope you will help us out as we wish to help you out!

Rest assured, no harm will come to you. Nor, as some of you have worried, are we holding you against your will. On the contrary, you're free to move about Equestria as you please, be it through Ponyville, Los Pegasus or anywhere in between. I only request that you use the scrolls we have provided you to check in from time to time, so that we know where you might be when we figure out the solution to this current situation.

If you have any questions, you are free to ask them of me. If I am not available - and, I will admit, there are times when I can be quite busy - there are many other ponies willing to help you, including the other princesses of Equestria. We are all in this together, after all.

[And then she smiles a little more. Its a much more relaxed smile. The concern is still there, of course.]

But, in the meantime, I'd also like to get to know all of you! I always like to meet new people, after all. I hear we even have a dragon?
