Entry 001 [Visual/Action]
[Anyone looking at the visual feed on the scroll will get an interesting view... That of a large dragon's nose, foot, tail... whatever it is that he can use to try and open the scroll with and get a good look at it.]
Hmmm... there has got to be some way to get this open without shredding it...
[Anyone coming across him on foot er, hoof, will get an even odder sight. A thirty foot long, white and red dragon with blue horns, trying to figure out how to open a scroll without turning it into confetti...]
A communications device perhaps? [He gets a better look at the scroll, but might get a little too close. Hope anyone watching likes that extreme closeup image of a bright blue eye staring out at them.]
I wonder if this has anything to do with my change of composition? [He'd just started to get used to the fact that he was dragon shaped after crashing on Earth... Waking up in another place with the same appearance, but yet a fully organic body... He really was not looking forward to relearning his own body again... As much as he liked science and learning new things, he really wished at times...]

[Action]
Hm. An Eastern-style dragon. I have not seen that here before.
Nevertheless, you are correct. It is a magic-based communication device for use in Equestria. It does not have anything to do with your change of form, however.

Equestria? Is that what this place is called? I'm sorry if I seem a little confused, but... I have no idea how I got here... Or how I've suddenly become organic.
[He looks a little sheepish, but she seems like she might know a bit about what's going on. Talking horses was definitely not what he was expecting when he woke up today.] If it's not too much of trouble... Might I bother you for an explanation of where I am, and if you have knowledge of what happened to me... I would much appreciate any information you are willing to share.

[She considers looking more into it with questions of her own, but it might be best to answer the dragon's first.]
Like many others here, myself included, you were transported here by an as-of-yet unknown magic, signified by the presence of rainbows. We are still investigating the reasons and mechanisms as to why this happens. As for your change, I am conjecturing that it is another part of that same spell. If you are not a species- or any sapient, in your case- that appears natively in this world it alters your physiology to rectify that.

This has to be one of the most fascinating things I've ever heard of... [He looks down at himself again and tries to sheath his claws once more.] ... It will take a lot of getting used to, but fascinating none the less.
[Skyfire looked rather embarrassed as he realized that he'd not introduced himself yet.]
I seem to have forgotten my manners... My name is Skyfire. Thank you for helping begin to understand the situation. [He'd be doing a lot of investigating on his on soon, that was certain... He just needed to get used to being made of bone, muscle and tissue, instead of supports, wires and synthetic 'flesh'. How do you keep from bumping into things without proximity sensors for one thing...]

It is a pleasure to meet you as well. If there is anything I can assist you with later, please ask. I don't know how much help I'll be until I figure out this body though.
[Skyfire chuckles a little and then sighs. At least the basics like breathing were automatic...]

[At least not without tearing up what he's walking on...]

[Skyfire keeps working on getting his claws to stay retracted.]

[She points a hoof in the direction towards the nearest end of Ponyville.]
The roads are mostly dirt, so inadvertently clawing them would not cause any trouble.

Thank you. I don't want to make anyone angry with me for ruining their property... The last time I was near a town... it... didn't go so well. [His voice was rather sheepish sounding as he admitted that.]
[Skyfire didn't want to bother her for any longer than he already had, but he wouldn't complain if she wanted to remain and talk longer. He had to get that scroll rolled back up though... that was going to take some trial and error now that he was missing a lot of his sensors.]

As long as I am welcome, I have no problems coming to it... It seems that here at least I'll not be shot at for trying to talk to someone or attempting to visit a town.
[Seems like someone has had a rather rough time of it before arriving here.]
no subject
[She probably shouldn't be surprised, but still.]

[He sighs]
My size and shape seemed to cause a lot of issues. It's been a long time since anyone has come up to me without being afraid of me. [That smile on his face? It's one of gratitude for treating him like he was normal, not a monster.]
no subject
Perhaps, then, you are trying to consort with the wrong company.
no subject
Perhaps... but even the wrong company can be better than no company at all. [He had a choice of humans or animals, and animals weren't really conversationalists back on 'his' earth...]
no subject
[Of course, she's a recluse by nature so there may be a bit of a bias there.]
no subject
[He was older than humanity and most of the life on Earth after all.]

I suppose I should get going... I need to find somewhere to sleep yet tonight.
