[She stands there sort of awkwardly for a moment before heading to the bathroom.]

[It's hard. It's so very HARD to treat Discord as a father given the amount of time Cruelly's hated him. But the implications in this cause her to stop, spin around, and glare.]

[She stands there awkwardly for a moment before heading into the bathroom and closing the door to brush her teeth. This is going well, isn't it?]

[Cruelly comes out of the bathroom with clean teeth a minute or two later.]

[What has Cruelly gotten herself into? She goes ahead and shoves off all the birds in order to be able to get in the bed, but before she does...]

[Discord zips up his lips, removes them, and tosses them out the window.]

Now then. What sort of story would you like? [His voice is now issuing from his blue horn, and sounds rather like he's talking through a tunnel.]

[Fluttercruel raises an eyebrow at the chaotic actions of the draconequus, but then stifles a laugh shortly after. When she quickly recovers, she picks up a book that was next to the bed and motions that Discord should read this one.

Apparently, it's a boring adventure story with absolutely no chaos in it. And it follows a plot. And it has a beginning, middle, and end in that order.

This book might be horrible to Discord.]

Oh, you have a book.

[And here he thought he'd just make something up.]

Haven't you read it already?

[Once the book is handed off to Discord, Cruelly's able to speak again.]

Yeah... but we haven't had it read to me yet.

[Discord huffs.]

Oh, fine. Let's see heeeeeeere...

[He opens it and starts flipping through the pages. Is it at least a VAGUELY interesting story? He might start improvising...]

[Well, it depends if Discord thinks Daring Do and the Griffon's Goblet to be boring. Meanwhile, Cruelly goes and gets themselves into bed.]

Discord starts reading the book. As he goes, it does not take long for the story to start deviating. Is there usually a handsome and charming draconequus character?]

[Not usually. Upon hearing the handsome Draconequus making his entrance, Cruelly clears her throat and gives Discord a look. Is she going to have to regret asking you to do this?]

[Hey, you wanna not be stone? You're gonna have to learn to accept that things don't always go your way, Discord. You can't snap your fingers to force Cruelly to enjoy the way you want to read a book. It's one of the facts of life of being part of a society.
