[Pokey usually isn't one for helping others, at least not strangers and not openly, but even then Mayfield had softened his heart at least a little. He gives off an obnoxious, long suffering sigh, as if Jou had asked him to move a mountain for her instead of a bag of delicious food.
He does it anyway. Really, he is just too nice a guy.
Pokey backs off towards one of the sides of the fort, though, as the heavy keg gets kicked through the air. He doesn't scramble, not exactly, but there's at least a little hustle in his step to make sure the keg doesn't somehow fall on him, and if it hits Jou on its way down well...that's on her. He isn't getting between the zebra and that thing.
As Jou jumps up and catches it, he laughs a little at her grin. It's as much genuine amusement as it is trying to save face. He's a cool guy. Ice cold cool. Yes. Yes he is. And he certainly doesn't look dumb or cowardly in front of strangers.
So he just shrugs, of course.]
