First, because it'd be impossible to imagine you could be so bad you chase people away. So unless your 'sensei' or whatever is a huge choad? I doubt it's you.

Secondly, places like this just make people act this way. It wears them down, especially the longer you're here.

And you've been here a long time, right? So if he's been here even longer he's had more chances to get hurt by this place.

Places like this can have good things to them, but they screw with you a lot too. Hurt you, if they can. If it isn't the insane events or occurrences that can happen here, it can be just watching people you know or care about come in and get taken away. I dunno what this guy's problem is, but I bet he's seen plenty of both those.

It isn't your fault Teddie. It's just what this place does. And it'd suck if you really are so dumb you think you should be responsible for what this place does.

Wow. You really are seriously torn up about this, huh?

[He's honestly surprised. In some weird way, he'd expected it to flow over Teddie more easily, with how common the bear seemed to cry and then revert back to how he was. It's almost worrying. Fight back, or come off it, or do something other than just be forlorn.
