[Someone just asked Teddie if he'd want to jump out of a cake. Him. That question. All on their own. As if his body were moving on its own, Teddie spreads his arms open wide and walks up to Doc, wrapping them around him tightly in a tiny bear hug.
Yes, magical grandpa man. He would love nothing more.]

He's quite shocked when the bear pulls him into a hug. No one but Marty has ever come this close to him...but Doc gathers that it's a good sign. Sure feels good to make him happy, anyway. Once Doc convinces his forelegs to work, he reaches up and pats Teddie's back for a moment.]
I take it that's a yes?
[He's definitely smiling now. Oh, the fun they'll have! (Not at Marty's expense, but. Fun.)

smoochingphysical contact were all things he desperately craved, it's part of the reason why he's even a bear in the first place. So he normally started the acts himself, sorry Doc. Best get used to it.When he gets his back patted and is finally satisfied, he eventually lets go and sniffles quite pathetically.]

[He's touched---really touched that Teddie thinks so highly of him. He flips open a notebook with a drawing of a cake and a springboard mechanism, already planning something spectacular.]

[Another thing Doc will just have to get used to, Teddie tends to believe everyone is really cool, especially adults. It's just not everyday an adult seems to want to put up with him and his antics, it's why he's mostly taken care of by teenagers...
Speaking of his antics, he's already nosing his way in that notebook.]

[Teddie reaches into his shirt and pulls out a folded up piece of paper. Don't think he forgot about their original plans; he remembered he still needed to show Doc his mock ups for the drill arms.]
Ta-da-da-dum! Prebear to be amazed!
[Unfolding the paper, Teddie shows off the drawing inside. It's...not a very good one, it's done in crayon and is about as skillful as something you'd expect out of a grade-schooler. Although it's easy to make out that it's a picture of himself complete with triangles on his arms. Drills. They're supposed to be drills.
Incidentally, all the notes written on it are in Japanese.]

As I said, I can make the drills snap to temporarily encase your arms. That way you'll still have the freedom to use your thumbs when you need them.
[And you'll also be free to hug. C'mon, Teddie, how can you hug with giant drills?]
