Oh, look, it's Hayate. The view from the scroll really only shows her face, almost as if she's deliberately hiding the rest of her body.

"So, uh....hi! Hello, Ponyville, it's great to be seeing you all again, after Tirek and all the...unpleasantness that followed after his defeat and all...You'll note that I didn't get power drained! Couldn't...he couldn't manage that, heh."

An awkward pause, strangely not accompanied by the sound of rustling feathers.

"No, uh, he...he kind of broke both my wings, instead. It'll...it'll be a while before I can fly again."

Hayate moves her scroll out enough to reveal that both her wings are indeed broken.

"...And then, you know, I got turned into something I'm not, not anymore, and...I dunno! I didn't really like being human, because I'm a pony! I'm supposed to be a pony, right?"

Hayate sags a little, even her ears drooping.

"And it's like...all this has been really hard on me, and...I dunno. Anybody feel like having a chat?"

"...O-Oh...So...you're wings were broken when you turned back to normal..."

That did make things a bit complicated.

"S-So...Were they not able to fix them?"

"Doctor's orders - no magical healing, just the normal stuff."

Hayate would shrug here, but she does that with her wings.

"Mm...that might be a good idea..."

Even if it does take longer to heal that way.

"Do you...Do you need anything?"

"I'm mostly set..."

Pause.

"Keep talking to me for a while?"

Fluttershy nodded. "Of course...If you'd like, maybe I can come over, and we can talk that way? I can make you some tea..."

And help make sure she's comfortable.

"That'd be nice...I can show you where the chamomile is?"

'Comfortable' would be nice, but not likely. 'Calm' might be a better goal.

Calm works as well.

"All right...I'll be over in a bit, okay?"

Nod nod nod.

"Okay..."

She'll be waiting!

Fluttershy will arrive some moments later carrying a basket of some flowers and some soup. It wasn't much, but she hoped it would help a little.

"Hello...?"

It takes Hayate a while to answer - mostly because she keeps trying to fly - but answer she does.

"Hi, Fluttershy."

She smiles. "Hello, Hayate...How are you?"

Hayate pauses to consider.

"...a little better than I was last week. Broken wings are a step up from no wings."

"Mm...still, you should get plenty of rest so they can heal..."

Reaching into the basket, she then presents Hayate with the flowers. "O-Oh...I brought you these...to help cheer you up..."

Hayate smiles, just a little.

"Thanks. Please, come in."

She's...not entirely sure how to carry the flowers and walk on three legs, and it shows on her face.

Realizing that, Fluttershy holds the basket she'd been holding out to Hayate, though does take the soup from it.

"Here...it might be easier to carry them in here..."

Ah. Hayate nods in gratitude and takes the basket.

This is the first time she's carried something in her mouth since she arrived.

"I've also brought some soup, if you'd like..."

Hayate tilts an ear at this with an inquisitive expression on her face.

Do tell!

She smiles, a bit bashfully, as she shows the container of soup she'd brought.

"It's...nothing much, really...just some herbs...But I thought, since you should be resting, it'd be nice to have..."

Hayate does her best to smile thankfully around the handle of the basket.

"We can heat it up right now, if you'd like...then I can also make you that tea..."

Hayate nods before heading towards the kitchen. Seems like a good idea to her.

She follows her into the kitchen, then sets about to make the soup.

As Hayate sets the basket down and waits, something seems to be weighing on her mind.

"...have you ever...felt like you didn't quite fit in?"

She blinked, glancing at Hayate curiously at the question.

"I...have, actually..."

First because of being a pegasus who didn't like to fly, then being a not-human-turned-human in another world...even here sometimes, where there was more than one of her.

"Do...you not feel like you fit in?"
