To any and all who may be reading this,

Hail, if ill met. When I call us ill met, please understand that I mean no Cruelty, for you are by all accounts fine people steeped in those virtues my homeland most highly prizes; chief among them a Generosity and Kindness I have experienced few times before in my life.

But Honesty bids me say we are ill met. For we have only met under queer circumstances, and dire ones. I have been forcibly transformed, and diverted from a quest of the greatest consequence to the Caelestial Kingdoms that I am honored to call home, and I fear that every second that I am delayed is another second of a long night that my people could not long endure.

If the powers that be are the cause of my dislocation, then I beseech them to return me, in the name of Kindness and by the Dawn and Dusk. If instead they are as perplexed as I am, then I gladly offer my services to find the cause, to make things right, to defend this realm as I would my own, and to be swiftly on my way. I am versed in knowledge of the elements, both the spiritual and their physical reflections, and can call on them at will; and I know much regarding the many planes of existence, and of gates between them.

Oh that seems to be a constant across the cosmos actually. Pinkie Pie'll be Pinkie Pie. Just a rolling ball of fun and excitement!

The "powers that be" have no interest in returning any of us to our former planes of existence, if they are possessed of any emotion at all.

The reason behind it all is still largely a mystery, both in reason and method. It appears to be magical in origin, as opposed to a technological phenomenon, and there are a few suspects, but beyond that there has been little progress regarding this incident.

Do you refer to the mortal rulers of this realm, or to the gods and the cosmos when you make such a statement? For it is easy enough to intuit the latter.

And what evidence would you say suggests the magical origins of this event - and more important still, the mechanism for it? Spatial magic is one of my areas of study, so it may be to the good for us to compare notes.

I refer to deities and the universe as a whole. It is generally accepted that the Princesses are not to blame for this incident, and are just as in the dark as we are.

It is merely my sense as a magician youkai. however, the caster -if there is one- has gone to great lengths to hide the mechanics of the spell. Still, I do know its scope goes beyond time and space, being able to not only take others from their own reality, but also seamlessly alter their physical appearance to fit within the world. If you wish to find the library, we may discuss further.

I greatly resemble someone you may be familiar with, one Twilight Sparkle. You will know me by my staff and a conical hat.

[Patchy looks up from one of the myriad of books she has on a desk. Honestly, if it wasn't for the differing hair and eyes (and hat), she could be mistaken for yet another Twilight.]

Another Twilight, though this one by a different name. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.

What truly baffles me is that while I am not named Twilight Sparkle, not only am I reasonably sure that I am their reflection - but, well. Do you know what Lucia Bolido actually means?

Gods, we are multiplying. Please tell me you are not another reflection, I pray.

While I am not certain of the etymology of the name, given language barriers in worlds I have not visited, I can identify the Latin root word 'luce' as 'daylight', and if I recall, 'Bolido' is Spanish for 'meteor'. So not totally unlike the Equestrian version.

As for me, no. I am in no way related to Twilight, though I have been compared to her a number of times.

I would translate 'bolido' as 'shooting star,' but yes. You have the measure of it. I could mention the names of the other Bearers, and you will notice a theme.

You are certainly at least as erudite as myself and my sisters. Of the Youkai people, you said?

[She levitates a volume on Equestrian mythology and another on symbols and runes from the shelves to the table, and then she sits before them.] I am glad that my telekinesis is easier here. It's about the only evocation of mine that is.

It is a part of unicorn physiology, I am assuming. I and others suffer similar conditions.

I would not use the term 'youkai people'. That is an impossibly broad term, and by no means are they all united. The closest translation of the term is 'demon', though much connotation is lost by doing so.

Oh, well, it's big. It resides on a mountainside. It has a big castle there, too...

Oh! It's where Princess Celestia and Luna live!
