There's something I need to say to you. All of you, but especially...especially the changelings.

[This has been a long time coming. All things told, Andrew's been surprised not to have faced more consequences for his outburst, though Donna's reaction was more than awful enough by itself. He's been ruminating on that and on the conversation the two of them had with Melissa, and Easy Lift's commentary on the griffons after her capture finally set him off. He's still not sure he can look at the changelings and not see something dangerous and parasitic, but he doesn't want to go on being that pony.

He appears on the scroll from his bedroom at the commune, face peppered with little cuts from when Flare pulled him off his feet and face-first into a floor encrusted with gems. It's all healing, though, some of the smaller ones already disappearing again under his fur.]

I'm sorry. I'm really, really sorry; you're not cockroaches and I can't -- I can't let myself think that way. I've been thinking of the changelings as vampires, but they're not. Not really, and I can't go on blaming them for things another species did, or blaming all of them for the actions of two individuals. Believe me when I say there was a reason...but that it wasn't a reason to hate all of them.

Yes I was. I was trying to build a working horn to allow non-unicorns to lift things, and get closer to understanding how unicorn magic actually works.

I wasn't able to get it to work right. Unicorn magic is pretty complicated, especially when trying to replicate it.

Did you talk to that griffon -- Sunny? She was working on mapping auras. It might be an incompatibility between the inherent magic in the different types of ponies.

No, I didn't get the chance. I was stuck in Ponyville helping repair Town Hall.
