1st Tune [Accidental Visual]

[The scroll is open to show a little filly lying in front of Town Hall. She seems a little confused, and even slightly disoriented as she looks around, before looking down at herself.

When she speaks, her voice is very soft, as though she has trouble getting the words out. One really has to be listening to hear what she says.]

A-Am I in...heaven...?

[Then she slowly gets to her hooves, her legs shaking a little. Her scroll goes completely unnoticed as she lifts her head, before calling out as loud as she can.]

M...Mom...? Mom...Where are you?

[A somewhat older pink unicorn filly - noticeably smaller and younger-looking than Chie, for some reason - appears on the scroll a little later than the rest of her friends. She's even still got her mane in the iconic twintails Risette was known for back home.]

Nanako-chan?! Is that you?

[It's hard to tell for sure when you're seeing someone as a pony for the first time! But she's more and more certain of it the more she thinks about it.]

Oh! It's Rise! We're all kinda ponies in this place... except for Teddie.

... Did Yu-senpai find you already?

[She's getting this a little on the late side, so she assumes Yu would have tracked her down by now. He's that kind of "big bro", after all. But if she's lost, Rise can always use her Persona to help. Secretly, of course, since Nanako doesn't know anything about the case or their powers...]

[By this time, Nanako had more or less settled in, and was now just getting a look around town. But she was still excited to see Rise.]

Rise-oneechan!

Yeah, Onii-chan already found me.

[Nanako! Rise's been through so much in the past year, but hearing someone calling her "oneechan" again reminds her of before all of that. When she tried so very hard to be someone people... and now ponies... can rely on.

Even if she's not all that useful, she'll still work hard! And be there for Nanako now that she's here!]

That's great! I won't have to come find you, then!

[Because he'll probably bring her to the Agency.]

Did he tell you we all live together now? Everyone that's here, at least...

[She nodded.]</small. Mm...! He said we're all gonna stay together, like a family!

[Rise nods back, smiling brightly.]

Mm-hm, that's right!

[Rise hadn't reacted at the time, but come to think of it, Nanako had called for her mother over the scrolls... and there was something about heaven? That part was hard to make out...

She doesn't want to make Nanako worry, though, so she'll ask her senpai about that later. The important thing is, she seems to be okay now!]

You're okay, right? It's a little weird, when you first show up here...

[Curious head tilt.] Weird? How so?

[Oh no, baby, don't misunderstand...!]

Oh, nothing! I just mean with everyone being ponies.

I had a little trouble figuring out how to walk at first...

Oh, yeah...! I had trouble too. Onii-chan and Teddie had to help me.

[Teddie...? But what does he know about how to pony?

She's not going to let her slight confusion over this creep in, though. Gotta stay cheerful and positive for Nanako!]

Good! You'll get used to it in no time!

And if you need any more help with anything, you can always ask Rise-oneechan~!

[Punctuating that with a wink and a confident smile. It's a little put-on, but the last thing she wants is to show Nanako how shaken she is by everything that's happened to her in the past year and a half - most of it spent in a much worse world than this. She may not be able to do much yet, but she can be a reliable big sis for Nanako!]

[She nodded happily.] Okay! Thank you, Rise-oneechan!

[Perfect! A cheerful and happy Nanako is the best Nanako!]

Hey, you're coming by the Agency later, right? We should definitely play together sometime!

And you can meet Cirno-chan someday, too! She's a new friend from my school here.

[They actually met before school started, and Cirno's the main reason Rise is even going in the first place, but it's easier to explain that way.]

Mm...! I'm staying at the Agency with Onii-chan and everyone.

Oh, there's a school here?

Yep! There's a schoolhouse right here in Ponyville you can go to, if you want. Cirno-chan and I go to another school for older ponies...

[Not going to explain any further than that, since there was a little weirdness about Rise's age and appearance when she arrived here from Exsilium. Just gonna dodge that subject unless Nanako somehow notices that Rise looks about thirteen as a pony. And who knows? Nanako's young enough it might not even occur to her.]

But if you'd rather stay home with Yu-senpai and everyone, I don't think anybody'll make you go.

Hmm....It might be fun to go to school, though...It would help learning about this place more, right?

Sure! There's history classes about this place and everything! At least at my school... I've never been to the schoolhouse, but it's probably the same.

[And it'll probably be easier than the middle-school courses Rise's taking, with all those other foals who grew up learning the history of Equestria...]

I bet you'd make lots of new friends, too! Everypony I've met here is really nice.

Wow...! I wanna go!

I could show you where it is, once you get settled in! We could even walk together on the way to my school.

[She nodded.] Okay! That sounds like fun!

Great!

I'll see you back home at the Agency later, right?
