[The face In the scroll this time is... familiar, yet different? It was a Unicorn, sure, and the colour was different, but... odd. He was outside, somewhere in the town center of Ponyville, but out of the way of the other Ponies walking around. He looked pretty confused and more than a little worried.]

Ah... excuse me, everyone.

[His voice however, was a dead ringer for a certain in-trouble pony. He bowed his head lightly in apologies, but also allowing the viewer to see-- yeah, you weren't seeing things, he definitely had a horn on his head.]

My name is Souji Seta- and I'm from-- [There was a slight pause there, like he was wondering if it was right to say what he was going to mention] --Inaba, a small country town in Japan... on Planet Earth? [Might as well be specific]

I, ah... I'm not sure if I'm dreaming or not, but I've never had a dream like this before... And I tried hitting myself, and didn't wake up.

[It hadn't been easy, either. He couldn't walk too well like this... that's why he was sitting on his butt until he could get some answers.]

[The feed pops up, and immediately on-screen is an evergreen stallion getting herded into view, stumbling on three hooves as he waves sheepishly at the camera. Nephenee's head pokes up from where she was pushing him on, and if there's any term to describe her aura right now, it's "glowing". She's practically buzzing. Did someone give her caffeine again?]

[In any case, she makes sure the scroll's got them both framed, and grins.]

Hey, Everypony! Hope y'all had a good Hearts an' Hooves!

We sure did!

We gotta big announcement to share with everypony!

We sure do! [Morgan isn't really here to help.]

[Nephenee is half bouncing, half-buzzing in excitement, and after a moment, she finally gets the words out.]

[She holds up a hoof that has a titanium bracelet on it with small gems and engravings. It's really, really nice.]

That's right, I scooped the best girl in Equestria and there's nothing you can do about it! All the rest of you can wither in despair! WITHER! [Cue Morgan shaking a hoof at the scroll.]

[She grins brightly.] Absolutely nothin'! We ain't sure when it's happenin' yet, but we wanted to share it with everypony~

[Morgan just points a hoof at Neph. Seriously, all her idea to announce it like this.]

[It's been awhile since Reimi showed up on the scrolls; she became rather busy helping Nozomi and Jou with the shops with Hearth's Warming, but something has been on her mind, and was not the new year a chance to work on things? To that end, she appears thoughtful, and a bit pensive.]

My apologies for my silence on the network lately; the work for the holiday took up much of my time, as well as the tests we had at school.

I...have a question for you all. A few weeks ago, the one known as Diamond Tiara insulted me with the term 'blank flank', and as I did not understand the meaning, I looked into it...and what I have heard regarding this upsets me a little.

In this land, it is said by some that not having a Cutie Mark is a curse, that one does not have a destiny or talent. I...do not believe this to be true. Arceus created all of my kind with individual talents, and special powers.

But becoming a human, then pony, has made me wonder about my own, and my destiny. Do I have those as well...and what might they be? I have always thought of myself as Erika's starter, her Pokémon and friend, and still do. But...is that all? Is there more beyond that? I..am not sure how to begin this search.

Are there any among us who started as I, and gained their Cutie Mark? If there are, I would appreciate hearing your tale. Even if there are not, I wish to...what is that term...'pick brains'? I wish to hear what everypony has to say of the situation.

It's been several days since...The Event, and Terra is no closer to understanding it now than she was then. So she's decided to seek the wisdom of the emotionally normal people on the scroll network. Once she's switched it on and made sure Dust can't see it, she takes a deep breath and launches into a clearly rehearsed speech.

"Hello. I need help figuring something out. What does it mean when someone touches you and your heart starts beating fast and it's not because you're about to get in a fight?"

There's a slight pause as she goes over the second half of the speech.

After the new year I'm going up to Canterlot to check if there's a House of Enchanted Comic Books here. If there is, anypony want me to pick some up for them?

There should be a lot, and some of them are magic too. They pull the readers into the books and they have adventures inside them. I would have brought some but I left my school bag back in the other world.

(The scroll immediately opens up to a worried pink filly who looks like she's been pulling her hair for the last half hour or so.)

(She's been thinking too much into this, clearly. Poor kid's worrying about both the loss of her friend and the adult responsibilities she's inherited. It's a little overwhelming and the shaking filly is really not in the right mindset to deal with all of this.)

[Seriously, he has around twenty or so scarves on. One properly on his neck, some around his face, a couple on each limb, a few around his midsection, two tied to each wing, a couple on his tail... Most of them were given to him as gifts, so they're mostly various shades of blue, but some are other colors. All of them are tied to him in such a way so that they're all blowing in the late fall wind. It would almost look cool if he wasn't covered in them.]

[Plus the one around his neck seems to be blowing in the opposite direction of all the other scarves. Quite frankly, the entire thing looks ridiculous.]

Very sorry, ma'am but we have received complaints from your neighbors about their eyes feeling like they're burning and they say it's something coming from your house. It's our duty to clear out the source of the irritant. Now I must ask you one more time. What were you making?

[She glares the unicorn. In the background, a phoenix, two dogs and a cat all begin to harass the hazmat team with barking, snarling and an occasional peck or three.]....Hot sauce, okay?! I was making several batches of my own hot sauce before the winter season kicks in. Now if you excuse me, my progress is being severely hampered by this yellow tape of yours. Let me back into my house now and DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH MY HOT SAUCE!

[She's about to storm through to get to her house but the supervisor blocks her path. One of the supervisor's assistants looks at Saori.] Hey, wait a second, aren't you the owner of that tea house that did that ban on pumpkin spice lates?

[She looks rather indignant and snorts.] Okay so I had to give up the ban after a week, happy? Besides, the winter seasonal flavors are better anyway. Yeah that's right you heard me! [The three began to argue amongst each other and then the scroll closes.]

[Geez Neph, you've been talkative lately. But this time, instead of a normal looking blue pony, the scroll opens to...a lovely blue pony in a sage green dress, mane styled to be lovely and wavy, with a preserved marigold in it. It's not precisely fancy, but certainly nice enough for something special. And Nephenee's beaming as she addresses ponies.]

Hey, everypony~ Um...Ah...Ah jus' wanted to let folks who've been cheerin' me on 'bout finally confessin' to my suitor..that Ah'm gonna tell him tonight. I understand many of you may be busy at the moment, so I will attempt to keep this brief. For those of you who don't know, I work with the Equestrian Magic Foundation in studying the ongoing phenomenon of outsiders being drawn into this universe and the accompanying polymorph into various local fauna. My grant with the foundation this year has increased substantially, but it comes with a few more expectations, the scope of which will be challenging to handle myself.

Thus, I am in the position to hire one or two assistants so that I may focus on the research itself. Duties will include regular travels to the Canterlot library, material acquisition, setting and cleaning up experiments, handling of potentially dangerous magical materials, scribe work, and miscellaneous errands. I do not require you to have previous experience in magical research, and I will set aside time to train you. The work isn't terribly difficult, and as long as you follow proper procedure, I can ensure no harm will come to you.
