Hey everypony, I'm just in the middle of setting up for fireworks tonight. Why? Because I think we need it! There'll be picnic food and when sundown hits I'll be lighting the place up!

Come join us, there's going to be punch and stuff.

Oh I almost forgot, it's being held behind Sugarcube Corner in the field there.

Yeah, I'll need help setting up. There's a bunch of firework tubes I've got to get into placement for tonight.

I contacted a great fireworks maker over in Seaddle. He should be arriving shortly with some Far East stuff.

Perfectly safe. He's been doing this for twenty years apparently.

It should be, it's traditional fireworks from Neighpon and some from the Far East.

We could put up lanterns for this. I think I found some nice rice paper ones people were saving.

Ah! Excellent idea! Maybe put them around the safe area to tell people where to stand, out of the way?

Rice paper lanterns should throw enough light without being too distracting, or obscuring the fireworks.

Yeah we got some of them. I guess we were planning on holding a summer festival a while ago and everypony got so distracted lately.

Summer festivals happen in Equestrian City all the time! We don't need a occasion to celebrate.

There's a nice party venue behind the Sugarcube Corner, so we should be fine to hold it in town.

Yep! There'll be fireworks and a little festival food and all sorts of things.

We're also getting ear plugs for those who need it too. [Hint hint.]

Yep! I know you and others aren't a fan of loud noises so we got earplugs just so that you can enjoy it. [Not a problem, she knows what you like.]

I'm hoping so. We haven't had a proper festival in almost a month!
