Feb 13 - Action

[Even the day before Hearts and Hooves Day, there's a lot of work going on around Ponyville. In fact, it seems like there seems to be even more with construction workers moving a covered item into place, as well as rigging up plumbing towards it. It seems like nopony has an answer for this, and several workers as with changeling workers decked out in orange safety gear were busy and hard at work.

Once in a while you might spot Pinkie Pie helping out, the younger not the elder. She's still working on several things from time to time, and it seems like everything is going on schedule as she's directing construction. Very secretive construction as everything is under a privacy shroud.

If you ask any of the workers, they give you the same response: "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye. Sorry kid."

Here's hoping asking Pinkie directly will get you a better response.]


Feb 14 - Visual/Action

[It's early in the morning, just as soon as Celestia's morning sun has risen. The monarch probably hasn't even gotten out of her robe and had her first cup of coffee yet when Pinkie Pie held two megaphones together, the loud squeal of feedback echoing across all of Ponyville.]

GOOD MORNING EQUESTRIA! NOW I KNOW YOU'RE ALL READY FOR HEARTS AND HOOVES DAY, BUT I JUST HAD THE MOST SUPER DUPER AWESOMEST IDEA EVER! SO IN APPRECIATION FOR SINGLES OUT THERE, AND THE SUPER SPECIAL SOMEPONY YOU HAVE ON YOUR HOOF, HERE'S TO YOU! HIT IT CHARLIE!

You got it Miss Pie! yelled one of the groggy workers as he twisted the lever.

[And on cue, four of the biggest water fountains that were regularly de-iced for drinking all around town erupted into frothy liquid chocolate. Rich delicious chocolate which had been bubbling into a steaming fondant. Changelings dressed up in nice tuxedos pushed wheeled trays into place, piled high with fruits and breads as the sleepy town erupted into a frenzy of "CHOCOLATE!".]

EVERYPONY HAVE A GOOD SINGLES AWARENESS DAY AND HEARTS AND HOOVES DAY, AND REMEMBER NOT TO EAT TOO MUCH CHOCOLATE!

[And with that, Pinkie Pie swandived into the nearest fountain and emerged covered in chocolate, licking it off with a giant tongue.]

Oh yeah there's a lot of custard! [Clapping her hooves a tray is wheeled over piled high with custard stuff.] Help yourself Doctor!

[Doctor gives a cheer and helps himself. He can't have fish sticks and custard but he can have half of it as a pony, and it tastes good.]

I don't think I've ever been so excited over this holiday before. You and the other Pinkies certainly have a contagious enthusiasm. I even put on a special bowtie for the day.

[He tugs at the red and white heart printed bowtie he has on.]

I try! I wanted to do this back home but ugh so many permits and zoning laws. Principal Celestia stopped me before I could dig up the plumbing too.

[She grinned and nodded, pointing at the bowtie.] I like it a lot! Bowties are really cool after all. Where'd you pick it up?

It's a little something your friend Rarity made for the holiday. I think she's caught on that I like to wear bowties- she always has something to offer when I go to the boutique.

Sparkly! I'm glad Rarity made it for you. She hasn't been getting out of the boutique much lately and I worry about her.

Perhaps it's time to throw her a surprise party or arrange a nice outing for her with friends. When I was there she did appear to be quite busy. The entire place is filled with racks of clothing and I think I saw some armor there as well.

Oh wow she must be going all out for the spring fashions! I'm really excited. I wonder if I'd look okay in armor...

[trustme]

I wouldn't be surprised if Rarity could make any pony look decent in armor. [Even somepony not so involved in fashion could tell she had an amazing eye for those things.]

So Pinkie, have you got any other plans for the holiday once the chocolate fountain has run out?

She probably would at that. Rarity always had an eye for these kinds of things.

[Blushing, Pinkie nodded.] I was planning on taking Lucia out to dinner tonight. Hopefully she'll be around. I forgot to tell her and I feel really dopey about that.

Forgot to tell her? If she's the type to expect it she might just assume you'll be meeting later. Otherwise this situation might call for a singing telegram.

Personally I've never spent Valentines out with someone like that.

Hmm you have a point. I should have asked her first. Maybe singing telegrams are better.

[GASP] You never did it before?

Best make it an extra romantic song.

No. Valentines didn't exist on my home planet. And the time I've spent on Earth generally skips past the actual date. The few times I was there during the holiday, I didn't have a "special somepony."

Even still, there's a time to indulge in food! There's never a reason not to have chocolate or something you like.
