Ranger Key 2: Key wheeling and dealing [Visual]

Ok...so I guess I just start here, huh?

Ok, so I've gotten wind that a number of you guys out there have come into possession of, whether it was because you found or bought them, some of my property.

[He'll hold up the Ranger key corresponding to how he looks.]

Now, Ako has convinced me (barely) that just going and demanding them back isn't a good idea. But, I've had a while to think and I believe I've come up with a compromise of sorts. So, hear me out.

[He'll drag the treasure chest into view. It's open with his other three keys inside.]

Now this here chest: back home it allowed my crew and I to have access to every key at once when-ever we needed to change. That was accomplished with the use of this.

[He'll motion to the buckle on his belt. And here's a demo. Once he's standing, he'll click the top and suddenly, there's Red Buster's key sitting inside, no longer in the chest.]

No idea whether this is the chest being heavy tech or whether it's magic or whatever, but you can see that it works. Now, here's the proposal: I can go into the dungeon and try to find more of these, and if you guys all put the keys you have into the chest, you'll not only have access to them at all times you have the buckles, but you'll have access to the rest, as long as someone else doesn't already have it in use. Plus, that way they're all in one, safe place.

But, I do have a stipulation or two for this: I wanna see how you all handle yourselves with them. It won't be too hard. Just a bit of a spar. That's all.

Also...any Ranger keys you find or buy HAVE to go into the chest right away. If you find one and you can't afford it, or it's hard for you to get, give me a ring and I'll try to help.

The tears definitely made Marvelous back-pedal from his usual style of comeback, that's for sure.

"It'll just be safer in here. It's special, right? Don't you want it to be really safe?"

"Um...would Jean-Paul really be safe in there? And I could see him whenever I wanted?"

"Definitely safe. I'd guard him with my....Jean-Paul?"

"Y-yeah. As long as I give you the special buckle, you can wish for him to see you. And he'll be there."

Keep a hold of it for the moment. You may need to give it a whirl or two to practice. The Magicians are tricky to use. Especially remembering the spells.

Ah so that's what the keys do. I hadn't had a chance to study the key I've got at the auction back in January.

But yeah that sounds like a fair deal to me.

I'm sure that can be arranged, as since a fair number of them are technically property of the State of Equestria, it shouldn't be difficult for me to release them into your care in addition to the ones I have for myself. After all, if they were yours before you would know best what to do with them.

That said, I'm interested in determining whether that chest functions magically or technologically, but provided I can get one of the buckles I probably won't need to see the chest itself for that.

I have one indeed. You wish to see how all the others can handle such powers... why should they instantly trust one who is relatively new to the world without any demonstration of their own?

I have become quite aware at this point that these transformation devices may be used for good or for ill; I believe some variety of test of character is to be conducted. Certainly you would have no qualms about this, yes?

The word of Ako is largely enough to convince me, yet not fully sufficient. I believe a single night accompanying the guards of the marketplace shall give me the additional proof I need.
