Okay, I just noticed that there are pegasii actually controlling the weather. Literally, they are moving clouds around to make it rain and things like that. That is so neat!

So can all horses do that? If I were to fly up there, could I kick the clouds away or make them shoot lightning? Because that would be the coolest thing.

Nope, it's purely a pegasus thing. Unicorns change the seasons, earth ponies tend to the crops and the animals, and pegasi are weatherponies.

Believe me, it was just as weird discovering that it DOESN'T work that way on OTHER worlds.

Magic. Though here in Ponyville we wrap up winter by hoof, it's an old tradition.

The pegasi clear the clouds and bring back the birds, while the earth ponies clear the snow and plant the seeds. A mixed team wakes up the animals and gets them moving, and other jobs get assigned as needed.

Not messing with you. It's entirely true. I know that's not how it works on other worlds, I've BEEN to them. But it's how Equestria works.

More messed up than a late frost killing a bunch of crops, meaning people don't have enough to eat?

More messed up than a sudden storm flooding people's houses and ruining their stuff?

More messed up than a rainless summer causing a drought, drying up the streams and withering plants?
