Second kata [ backdated to the 29th | Locked to Dante | Visual ]
[Earlier that evening, Vergil had volunteered to speak with some of Equestria's citizens that were struggling with supernatural abilities. Given that he had gone through something similar, he knows how valuable it can be to speak to someone with experience. Though he's nowhere near the humanitarian that Sparda was, he does believe that everyone deserves a chance to become stronger, and sometimes that takes a little perspective.
The likelihood that the participants would find themselves recounting their own stories is something that Vergil knew when he offered his assistance to begin with. Traumatic though it was, talking about his time in the demon world isn't something that necessarily bothers him.
Until Dante becomes a factor.
In fact, once he was told that Dante would be there too, he started having second thoughts. Of course Vergil knows his brother is stronger than he gives him credit for, and by no means does he intend to coddle him, but they both have wounds that are still very open. Vergil knows what he's gone through, and he doesn't want Dante to have to suffer through the mental image of his twin near death and in unbearable agony.
As it stands, the past two hours have seen Vergil pacing around his cave, trying to figure out how to word what he wants to say. Voicing sincere concerns isn't a talent that exactly comes easily to him, which is something that becomes all too apparent when he realizes he's getting nowhere.
After a little more deliberation, he finally finds his scroll. It takes a little tweaking for him to figure out how to lock the broadcast to just one person, but he figures it out.]

Hey. You up?
no subject
(Because as serious as the subject matter might be, even Dante can't take it seriously. Not yet, anyway.)
no subject
"Of course I'm up, Vergil. So nice to hear from you."
[He says with a roll of his eyes. Still, it is nice to lighten the mood. It puts him at least a little more at ease for what he needs to say.]
If you're actually on your way to do something else, it can wait. It's one of those things that might take a while.
[Which should say all that he needs it to: It's personal, private enough to merit a locked communication, and may lead to a lengthy discussion.]
