Oh she's such an adorable mare! Isn't she sweet? [ Gushed Lyra's mom as Guitar nodded with a smile. ]

You did good, Lyra. Making your family proud. Now we heard you also have a male friend along with your other friends?

[ Lyra nodded at that. ] You know Bonnie and Carrot, and we need to introduce you both to Alastor later on.

GRANDCHILDREN! [ Squeed her mom. ]

[ Fluttershy stood hesitantly at the door, her head darting between the three ponies as she tried to keep up with the strange conversation. But she didn't want to make a bad impression on Lyra's parents, so she swallowed her nervousness and smiled a little too widely. ]

Y-yes... um... I'm sure that Alastor will make a great father! ... At least, I think so.

Mom, you're scaring her! [ Lyra whined as she gathered Fluttershy in a half hug. ]

She's really timid, you know this because she was a model, remember?

[ Her parents nodded as Guitar gestured inside. ] C'mon in, Bonnie's at the table and Carrot Top's stopping by later.

[ Lyra had the patience of a saint for Shy, and the pegasus felt a wave of gratitude and love for her. She hugged Lyra tightly back and whispered a thanks before stepping into the kitchen. She nodded at Bon Bon, at the table, walking over to nuzzle her in greeting. ] Hi, Bon Bon.

Hey Shy. Welcome to the family. [ Bonnie smiled at her, as she waved a fork in greeting. ] Food'll be right out as soon as everypony makes it.

Thanks for cooking Bon Bon, I needed to get those ingredients after all. Shy, you can sit wherever you want.

Thanks, Lyra. [ She took a seat near Bon Bon, an empty one between them which Lyra could occupy if she wanted. ]

So... you live in Canterlot? [ Addressing Lyra's parents now. ]

That's right. I'm a librarian for the Canterlot Archives, the non-sealed off parts. And Guitar here works in the services.

Architect, [ Said Guitar. ] I do additions and repairs to Canterlot as the Princess sees fit.

Have you met any of the Twilights? I think she's taken a few trips down to the Archives.

And... with all the trouble that Canterlot sees, your job must be really busy, sir...

Twilight grew up with our little Lyra so we know her well. [ Said her mother as the cooking smell filled the room with done food. ]

And yeah my buildings stay up whenever something happens. That's why I'm so good at my job.

[ Fluttershy's nose twitched and she smiled at the smell of food. ] Here, I can help with that... [ She got up from where she was sitting to help serve it out. ]

I didn't know you two grew up together, Lyra. No wonder you're so good at magic.

Heh, I'm not that great though. I've got a much smaller magical capacity than Twiley has. But it's all good really. [ Lyra got up to help as well, trotting over and picking up a couple of dishes. ]

Oh, well, Twilight's element is magic. I wouldn't expect anypony to be good as her. Anypony who isn't a princess, anyway.

But you're still really good at some things. [ She nuzzled Lyra before beginning to dish out. ]

*And cue somepony knocking on the door.*

I got it! [And Lyra went over to the door and grinned.] Alastor, glad you can make it.

Now, when have I ever ignored an invitation from you? Of course I made it.

[ Fluttershy peeked in from the other room and grinned as well. ] Hi, Alastor! Back to your old body? [ She trotted over to him and gave him a hug. ]

Mom, dad, this is Alastor. Alastor, this is my mom and dad, Harp Heartstrings and Guitar Strings.

Oooh he looks like a pleasant stallion! [Gushed her mom as her dad nodded.]

*He walks into the house and gives a slight bow and a winning smile.*

It's nice to meet both of you. I hope I don't have to tell you that you have a wonderful daughter.

*He looks over at Fluttershy with a chuckle.*

Yeah, Dante's was just a loaner.

We should be okay to eat and feed anyone else who shows up then. [Said Lyra with a grin.] And we can have some after dinner mints and stuff.

She is wonderful. [ Fluttershy added to Lyra's parents as she sat down with everypony. ] It smells delicious, Bon Bon.
