[After a few moments of consideration, she decides to switch to Visual herself.]

A little butterfly told me about a certain.. exchange between yourself and Twilight not to long ago.

Lets just say, I am less than thrilled with the subject matter.

[Zetta sighs, glances around, triple-checks the privacy settings on the scroll, then leans in.]

Look, I'm going to tell you something you absolutely positively can't tell anyone else, okay?

...that was actually me being a decent pony.

You've probably noticed this already, but the Twilight Sparkle from Mayfield is one of a very, very few ponies I like and respect. But considering the time I've spent with her, and the fact that I, an evil demon bent on Equestria's conquest, have taken her in as a pupil... her own issues were going to become a problem before too long.

I brought them out early in a way that'd satisfy her, and before she had another depressive fit or crisis of self-esteem and had a breakdown somewhere it'd be a lot harder for people to get to her.

[Anger turns thoughtful for a moment or two. Alright, so she can see where he was attempting to be a decent pony. However, the way he went about it still horrifies her on a deeper level.]

Darling, I applaud you being a decent pony. However, suggesting Twilight turn to the evil side is something I would have wished you didn't do. Even if it was to help her.

I have seen an evil Twilight and watched her corrupt and attempt to kill her best friends. It is something I never want to see again. Twilight, Even Twilight from Mayfield, is still very a very powerful mare.

That Twilight wasn't this one. This one would never turn to evil. She has already been pushed to her limit, and passed the test. I, a demon and an Overlord, know that.

And she especially wouldn't turn to evil when the first evil act she tried would be to push Fluttershy in a pond. I didn't suggest that by coincidence, you know.

[She huffs slightly.]

My Twilight didn't turn evil by choice either. She was forced into it and unfortunately, all it took was one action to open the floodgates and destroy Ponyville.

[Her eyes narrow about. She is still not happy about this.]

Even suggesting that she shove dear Fluttershy into a pond is enough to make me unhappy with you. Did you even ask for her assistance in this at all? Or did you just pick the most caring pony in Equestria because she was an easy target.

[He may want to be careful answering that...]

Regardless of the reason, you should have never of suggested it! I know she is under stress, but you haven't seen some of the things that I have. Ponies can snap under the right circumstances and wheres I am glad she passed your little test, I simply cannot forgive such methods of testing.

I picked her because it's established that pushing her into a pond is evil! It had to be something that was established evil, but also something that Twilight could never do. Or at the very least, do and them immediately regret, and then realize she couldn't be evil.

If it was for Twilight's own good, Fluttershy would have forgiven her. Or at least, that's the kind of thing ponies have been telling me about friendship since I got here. Am I wrong?

[Zetta didn't believe in friendship or any of that crap! But he sure believed THEY believed it.]

You're making my point for me, Rarity. Ponies can snap under the right circumstances. I saw what happened when she got pushed too far the last time, she got possessed by Nightmare Moon! I did what I did before all that doubt could build up inside her. The more time that passed, the bigger the problem would have been. I let the pressure out before it could build up to an explosion!

It's cruel and evil.

[He's right, Fluttershy would have forgiven her once she found out what was going on. But that was besides the point.

And Rarity could see what he was saying considering what happened with Nightmare Moon and that still did not sit well with her.

Empty Sky, Zetta. I appreciate you are taking her feelings and the potential for things turning into a disaster to heart, but I still do not approve of your methods.

To me, even suggesting to her that she try being evil is ... It is simply NOT done.

Then what would you suggest? Just telling her she's not evil, that she couldn't ever be evil? Words don't work like that, Rarity. There's always room to doubt what someone else tells you. She needed absolute proof, something she couldn't question. It needed to come from within her.

I don't know, but definitely not that.

[She sighs slightly.]

I adore Twilight dearly, all versions of her. But, I still... What if she had turned evil on your suggestion Zetta? What if you tried that with a different version of her and thy were not so... steady in their beliefs.

I just don't want to see someone like Nihilus appear here. Once was enough and it broke Twilight when her darker half was defeated. I watched her descent into maddness and there was nothing I could do.

So please, never, ever try something like this again. With any pony.

She wouldn't have, Rarity. This Twilight wouldn't have. I'll swear that on my title of Overlord. [Which, considering how seriously he takes that title, is one hell of a vow indeed.]

As weird as it is to say, I know her well enough to know that. Probably better than you, since I've been here longer. And there isn't anyone else I would try something like that on... you know, to actually cause them to realize they're evil. No promises on actually trying to turn ponies to evil.

[She does know just how serious of a vow that must be for him. Rarity sighs softly. Yes, she's still angry but his reasoning is taking the wind out of her sails as it were.

And that irritates her a little.]

[Okay, maybe a lot. But, she is trying to reign in her irritation at the entire matter. She's just not doing it well enough right now.]

I would suggest in the future to curve your attempts at turning ponies evil.

Around here, it's pretty much a waste of time anyway. This is as sweet and syrupy a place as any I've been. [Zetta heaves a dramatic sigh to clearly express how burdened he is with his presence in this non-evil world.] I might as well try to turn birds aquatic.
