16th Lance ↟ | A test of endurance [Action/Visual (backdated to Monday)]
[Action, private to Yukiko]
[For those who knew the Sentinel before her disappearance, the past month had to be worrying. Certainly, she was still the strong and kind mare she'd always been, but there was sometimes a small thread of something underneath the surface: something a little sad, perhaps. But she'd pushed herself along with her normal grace and smile, even when her 'sister' from Rakuen had come in with her own, and greater, emotional baggage.
Between that and the Dante situation, and little, everyday things, Nephenee had pushed herself harder, unknowingly putting others even further before herself in order to distract from the uneasiness in her spirit that she did her utmost to shield from others. It wasn't that she thought they couldn't handle it, it was more that she didn't want to worry them. She could handle it...she'd handled greater before, she told herself.
And then Utsusemimaru had vanished. One of her best friends, and Maebhrin's suitor...between comforting both housemates and her own pained spirit, that was enough to get her sick. Being stubborn as a mule, and figuring she could handle it too, she'd worked through it so far, though she wasn't quite brazen enough to not use herbs and such to fight it.
It almost had worked; she did her best to shield others from that too, never complaining or calling attention to her body's plight. What she hadn't counted on was the possibility of her friends that had left being with the Pale Pony, a truly upsetting idea. That gained her a slight fever, in the middle of summer, and between her body's natural tendency to run hot, the heat of the sun, and the fever, she soon found herself facedown in the dirt in one of the Commune's fields, unconscious from exhaustion and dehydration.
Oops.]

[After being found by one Yukiko, Neph had been ushered into bed, cold compresses all over, and so when she pops up on the scrolls, she's got one on her forehead as she lays in bed, face flushed and tired. For anyone who's seen her lately, it's probably fairly obvious she's managed to push herself too hard. Grinning sheepishly, she hesitantly speaks.]
Um...Ah, uh...need to write rain checks for a few folks...um, Ah...mighta worked myself too hard an' gotten a lil' sick an' passed out...Ah'm sorry for inconveniencin' folks...
[Can she hide under the covers now? It sounds like a good idea.]
Ah'll make it up to folks after Ah get better...But Ah'll be fine, honest!
[Dammit Neph, you don't get to say that AFTER you pass out!]

[Working a stove in a restaurant after three days of no sleep is not a good idea.]
I'm probably not the best person to say so, but she's right. Take it easy for now; I can watch the farm for a few days.

...Thank ya, Sir Minato. Ah appreciate it. Ah'll rest up a much as Ah can.
