A Relic Reborn Pt4: Bring Me A Shrubbery!

Holy Celestia, I spent the last month getting through this fodder and look what happens. Okay Adventurers, you want a challenge? I'll give you a challenge.

First off, I've managed to secure the Salts and Flux from the Chimeras, so don't need to thank me on that part. It saves you all a battle. Secondly, I've read up on some literature of my predecessor, Gerolt the First and he had a unique method of creating stuff. Something about forging in the Fires of Mount Not-Quite-Doom or some dung like that.

In any case, what I need is stuff to recreate that level of inferno for my forging. The Excalipoor broke down really well, but now I can't reforge it into your equipment, let alone the base stuff. So here's the deal: you have that Canterlot Archives right? I'm too big to get in there so I need you Adventurers to go in there for me.

Go get me a White-Hot Coal and several chunks of Hyperfused Ore. I'm sure they're down there, Star Swirl brought a lot over here after all. The last bit I'll have to keep looking: this book is freaking tiny and I have big claws.

Get the first of them by next Monday and we'll consider our business continued.

Good, good. I need sturdy people like you ponies doing my legwork, er I mean... *ahem* still, I want to see you guys earn this. I'm not running a charity here.

Wouldn't it be easier if we read the book to you, then? I think we would have an easier time with its notes since they're according to our scale.

I don't retain that well when someone's telling me what to do. Gotta read it myself, otherwise I'll forget it all.

What if it was transcribed into a larger font? Would that work better?

It'd be helpful at least. That way I wouldn't spend another month struggling through the textbooks.

Then I shall get to work on that after we acquire the coal and ore chunks. Neither task should take very long.

It would be appreciated. I'm still trying to read this out. Is that a L or a I...

Some fonts have lower case L's that look like upper case I's and sometimes like 1's. It can be very confusing.

Modern Equestrian is a second language to me anyhow. I'm not too well versed in it.

You could've fooled me; you've been doing well enough already that I hardly noticed.

Young dragons are educated in the old tongue, although most of the recent generation has been really rebellious.

The same can be said of humans, with teenagers and young adults eager to come into their own...it's quite natural.

Well I never went and smashed phoenix eggs when I was a dragonling.

It's a recent fad among the young, and it's supposed to "prove you're a real dragon". Bunch of morons more like it.

That's criminal. Those poor phoenixes...

They're not protected animals here, but the lings make a game of it. Phoenixes are great pets, but they need to hatch to meet somepony then.

And I assume this is beyond Equestria's borders. Otherwise, the princesses would have no such thing.

I've actually heard stories of nearby groups of dragons who just let their kin run wild, so I dunno.
