When the scroll goes live, it shows Hayate, down near the fountain in the center of town. Today, instead of her fancy blue hat, she's wearing a boater with a yellow feather in the brim.

Her expression is...unusually serious.

"So. I'm Hayate. Most of you know me - I'm the Guardian Angel of Ponyville. In light of recent events - " she doesn't really need to say more than that, does she? " - I am officially putting this out there: I have the capability to instantly teach anyone the magic and fighting skills of my home world."

A pause. Those who know Hayate have probably noticed her tendency to shift her wings about restlessly whenever she isn't talking, but right now they are as still as stones at her side.

"These skills range from increased facility with weapons, to healing spells, to destructive magic. I am making them freely available to anyone that feels they need a method to defend themselves or others."

"Very well. I'll be waiting at the fountain in front of Town Hall."

[Trixie feels really good about this as she closes her scrolls and heads to the fountain. Once in the general area, Trixie makes sure she isn't seen by Hayate. When close enough, she uses her magic to make it look like she teleported there, obscured by smoke and glitter.

Did I mention she likes to be theatrical?]

Hayate's starting to get the idea, yes. But that's fine; she can be theatrical too. As she opens her mind to the spirit of Alltrades Abbey, her eyes begin to glow white as she spreads her wings wide.

"Do you wish to walk the path of the Sage?"

[...Well, now. When Hayate and Lyra aren't talking about strange liquids that can do who knows what on your body and being theatrical, she can be quite decent to chat with. Trixie briefly wonders if Hayate can make it in the same type of showbusiness she herself is in.]

Trixie shall stride down that path without any hesitation!

"Then it shall be so! Trixie has chosen to walk the path of the Sage!"

At this pronouncement, a ray of white light shines down on Trixie from above as phantasmal trumpets peal out a triumphant chorus. Hayate's eyes stop glowing as she folds in her wings.

"May you be blessed in your new vocation."

[Trixie... feels a tiny bit weird. She's usually the one going all theatrical on people, so when someone matches her hamminess, she's not sure how to react. An awkward second or two passes by before the showmare clears her throat.]

Trixie finds herself properly honored of your granting vocation. She need not ask herself of what a sage truly is, and don't you dare forget that she shall proudly and continuously walk the path of the sage!

Hayate smiles.

"Very good. I look forward to seeing you reach the pinnacle of sagedom."
