Hey everyone,

I know I'm a total stranger to most of you. That's my own fault, because I've been busy burying my nose in books, tinkering with scrap metal, and...maybe I've intentionally avoided contact with others. And I think I've finally realized why that is.

I've faced a horror much like the Pale Pony before, and the only thing that saved me was friendship. But still...in the end I was separated from most of the friends I made, possibly forever. And one of the ones I was closest to, Dustin Brooks, is now gone, most likely in her clutches.

It's hard to keep reaching out when I seem to lose all my friends every year or so. But I've also seen proof that unlikely reunions can happen. So...I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'll try to be there for you all. And if you ever need another mechanic, here I am.

Before the Equestria Games, I was working on a fake metal horn I made. I've been trying to study unicorn magic and I figured if I could make a device that gave non-unicorns and non-alicorns the ability to lift things without having to use a mouth, it could greatly help ponies. Especially off-worlder ponies like us.

It uses a special gem with magic properties that produce a form of electricity that can act as a substitute for unicorn magic or telekinesis to be more exact. The horn is only designed to lift things as there's no way to replicate anything more complex than basic unicorn magic.

I've got it to work, but it's got some problems. Mainly, when I tried to lift some bugs, it...basically acted as a bug-zapper and left a mess. So my current goal with the project is working on trying to make it safer so it can't harm anything living when used.

Since the games though, I've had to put a stop to working on it because I felt there were more pressuring matters like the Pale Pony to deal with.

I'm not sure just allowing those without a horn to lift things will really help against the Pale Pony, but sure I'm okay with that.

Right, but lifting things is still useful! It's much more efficient if you can talk and build at the same time, especially if you're working with a partner.
