[Cloudsdale and Ponyville's local speedster masked hero appears on the scrolls with a message for all. There is a wall behind him but it is blank.]

This is the Wondrous Bolt. I'm a masked hero who has been fighting crime in Cloudsdale for the past year.

After witnessing the events during Calice's last appearance I have one thing to say: we need to work together if we're going to stand a chance.

I can't say how powerful Calice is or if it is possible to fight her head on, but I do know that I'm not the only one here who wants to protect those who can't protect themselves. I know a few ponies are attempting to work together but let's be honest with ourselves, that last confrontation was overall sloppy. If we can get more organized, if we can work together as a larger team making the most of each individual's abilities, then I believe it will open up more opportunities for us to collect information on Calice. I also know that if we work together, we'll do a lot better keeping others safe.

Calice doesn't like it when ponies cooperate. She thinks friendship, even team cooperation, are useless. Let's prove her wrong. Let's make the best team we can. Enough trying to take Calice down alone or stroking egos. [Oh how hard that lesson had hit him in the past at home.]

To start, I'm reaching out to you all now for a role call. I'm creating a list we can all access with our abilities and whatever name you would like to go by. -It's up to you if you want to share your ID. Think of adding yourself to this list as an agreement to give this team idea a chance.

This invitation is extended to all. You don't have to be a masked hero like myself. You don't even have to be a fighter- we need all kinds of talents. There is more to saving the day than throwing punches.

[He looks a little sheepish or even pained as he adds a last message.]
Lastly, Magical Girls, I know you're out there. I know I'm a guy in a mask and maybe it's not cool to let me into the group, but please consider joining. This effort is for the greater good. We can't limit our allies to those of one kind of title or power any more.
[Okay, maybe he's been a little peeved knowing that the magical girls have been keeping all the other hero-types and would-be-helpers out of the loop.]

[ooc: tl;dr This is a call upon others to all work together and make an effort to become an organized force against Calice for the next fight/to support the information gathering effort. For most of the base structure I do... and I can always fetch more. When it comes time to put in the lights, water and waste systems, I'm not sure what I'll need.

I'm debating on whether I should find someone to use magic for that, or if I should put in a physical power source... I'm tempted to do both, but I'm unsure if it would work or not.

I'll help you figure out your supplies. Back home you could say I did a lot of building-related community service. My specialty is speed, so my mentor and I ran around helping with housing projects pretty often. [And if he gets confused he'll go ask an expert real fast.]

I bet you're right. I'd look into both magic and physical options. Magic is common but who knows what Calice can do to blow out the lights. She had an easy time doing that at the gala.

[He frowns a bit as he starts making some mental changes to the plans he's made.]

Lights, water, waste system, air filtration... I should probably plan for both magic and a technology based option for all of those. Looks like I have another project to add to my list and some modifications to make to the plans and the base tunnels.

If you want I can meet you somewhere and drop off the plans or you can come to pick them up?

I can come to you now if you're ready for visitors. Just tell me where I can find you.

I'm over at the shelter checking over my work so far, but feel free to come by. The plans will need to be altered to fit whatever systems we install... but another pair of eyes to look it over would be good.

[He makes a mental note to have Billy look over the plans too. Skyfire knows when to admit that he can't do everything himself... even if it takes a while to sink in.]

Let me know when you get here and I can try and give you directions to whatever tunnel I'm in at the moment.

[The Wondrous Bolt pulls down his goggles and rolls up his scroll, ending the visual message for a time. A couple minutes later the visual resumes. It's easy to see the speedster is in a different setting and judging by the echo to his voice he is at the cave entrance.]

Which tunnel?

[Skyfire blinks a bit, thinking 'that was fast' before answering.]

Third corridor down and two right.

[Yes, that sure is one big tunnel system. It would easily fit living space for twenty or so ponies... and that was before you considered the height of the tunnels. Clearly, Skyfire had been planning to try and build a bunker that could give shelter to as many as he possible without going overboard... but then again, his idea of overboard...]

[He counts the corridors and dashes down them. He had expected the cave to be large after wandering into one before with his friend but not this large. Skyfire's size made him easy to spot, and with a small gust, the Wondrous Bolt joined him.]

Did you do all the work clearing out this cave by yourself? [He pulls his goggles up to his forehead and turns in a circle, checking out the current cavern.]

[Skyfire uses his flame breath to weld a support strut in place and checks the stability before turning to the new arrival, a little bit surprised at the speed though.]

Ah... yes. I might have overdone it while working on it... just a bit.

[The cavern itself that he was working on, would be set up to actually grow plants and food... The height of most of the rooms was triple what most ponies would need,(granted, he still had to duck a lot because big dragon.) and he'd set up the plans so that there were three 'story' 'apartments' in other caverns for living space. Though to be fair, he was under the assumption that they'd need to grow food and have something self contained at the time.]

It's impressive! Back home, only the guys with superpowers could have cleared this much out and skipped the machines and months of complications.

This looks even better than I expected.

[He looks rather flustered by the praise, but tries to hide it.]

Well, I have had more than a little practice...

Do you do a lot of tunneling back home?

[He flaps his wings and rises upwards to get a better look at higher half of the cave. The quality appeared to be consistent both above and below.]

If you were a pony right now you might have a drill or shovel cutie mark.

I've done a lot of things back home... [When one didn't have anyone to ask for help and lots of time on their hands, the only option is to keep improving. At least that's what he thought.]

I could outfit this place if it was for me, but it's not... so better to pass the work along to someone who knows better. [Yes, that was a hint that he'd like to pass the project off to somebody else. Skyfire was finding that he wasn't sure how to keep going on it. He just couldn't fit to work in some places.]

No problem! You can leave the rest of the construction project to me and the rest of the team if you feel you need to.

We might need a little help with the heavy lifting though. -And we should talk about whatcha had in mind for designs. It was your idea after all.

I'd appreciate it. It's getting too much for me to do on my own, what with the size issues... I have no problems coming back to help. [He knows when to admit his shortfalls after all, and smiles a bit.]

Do you want to get out of here for a bit and I can show you the plans I'd made and what I've finished?

Yeah, definitely show me the plans! Let me see what we're working with.

Sure.

[Skyfire pulls out a copy of the plans and starts showing them to him. It was definitely a large project, but Skyfire had mostly completed the hardest part by digging and reinforcing the caverns and doing most of the foundation work for the small housing and storage area that sat above.]

Oh you have it drawn out and everything. Nice!

[Wally scans the paper, taking in the details.]
