[Cloudsdale and Ponyville's local speedster masked hero appears on the scrolls with a message for all. There is a wall behind him but it is blank.]

This is the Wondrous Bolt. I'm a masked hero who has been fighting crime in Cloudsdale for the past year.

After witnessing the events during Calice's last appearance I have one thing to say: we need to work together if we're going to stand a chance.

I can't say how powerful Calice is or if it is possible to fight her head on, but I do know that I'm not the only one here who wants to protect those who can't protect themselves. I know a few ponies are attempting to work together but let's be honest with ourselves, that last confrontation was overall sloppy. If we can get more organized, if we can work together as a larger team making the most of each individual's abilities, then I believe it will open up more opportunities for us to collect information on Calice. I also know that if we work together, we'll do a lot better keeping others safe.

Calice doesn't like it when ponies cooperate. She thinks friendship, even team cooperation, are useless. Let's prove her wrong. Let's make the best team we can. Enough trying to take Calice down alone or stroking egos. [Oh how hard that lesson had hit him in the past at home.]

To start, I'm reaching out to you all now for a role call. I'm creating a list we can all access with our abilities and whatever name you would like to go by. -It's up to you if you want to share your ID. Think of adding yourself to this list as an agreement to give this team idea a chance.

This invitation is extended to all. You don't have to be a masked hero like myself. You don't even have to be a fighter- we need all kinds of talents. There is more to saving the day than throwing punches.

[He looks a little sheepish or even pained as he adds a last message.]
Lastly, Magical Girls, I know you're out there. I know I'm a guy in a mask and maybe it's not cool to let me into the group, but please consider joining. This effort is for the greater good. We can't limit our allies to those of one kind of title or power any more.
[Okay, maybe he's been a little peeved knowing that the magical girls have been keeping all the other hero-types and would-be-helpers out of the loop.]

Your world needs heroes. This one... didn't. Not before someone started pulling others in. Not even back in my Equestria was there really a need for that sort of thing - just ponies doing their part as ponies.

Somewhere along the way, a lot of ponies - native and offworld - forgot that basic decency is something everyone can have, not just folk we put on pedestals.

Yeah, everyone likes to feel special and have "their day." I felt that way too in the past and had to learn my lesson.

Too bad so many of us offworlders arrived with our cutie marks handed to us with no explanation of what they mean. If more ponies were reminded that they have something to offer without being top dog, I bet their priorities would be better.

And there again is Calice's affect on us.

Yeah. Then again, nobody knew what the hell was going on as far as ponies being dragged here. Still don't. Who decides what your talent is, anyway? Ponies just stumble upon it by accident and it...

[She trails off. Nnh.]

...It usually works out. Usually. You all got thrust into it, though, with talents you may not have even been able to decipher, and... nnh, it's a hot mess.

And that's before we found out we're all being used as lab rats, yeah.

Nopony has been shouting it over the scrolls but I bet we all wonder what this experiment is and why we were chosen. I know I do. If Calice wanted a fast superhero she should have taken my far faster mentor.

Not sure we could actually do anything if we knew her experiment any way. Skew the results? That might keep her from eating us all up at least. She'd have to start over if she wants true results.

[He shakes his head.]

Do you think she really is a Twilight Sparkle?

Mn. You want speculation, or fact? I got lots of one but none of the other.

I think there's two "voices" at work here. The one doing the experimentin' is that Corruption, I think. That dissonance that expects ponies to fall apart, to work only for self-serving ends.

But I don't think that one's the one responsible for choosin' us. I think the one choosin' us knows we can grow, can change... or knows we can help others change. Like, I know one person who'd probably never admit friendship could exist, but they made me who I am t'day. If it weren't for them bein' here, I'd still be a broken-down mare starin' at the bottom of a bottle and hatin' the world.

Everyone here is here for a reason, and those who aren't, they don't stay. For... for better or worse.

I guess I have learned some new lessons in my time here. [Now that he thinks about it.] I like that theory. There's some hope in that one.

Has anypony come up with theories about what the Corruption is precisely? Or have I missed a memo about it?

Nopony knows exactly, and it's not like there's a lot of info - just that some stuffed-collar in Stalliongrad thought it'd taken hold of their king and thought Pale Pony-induced nukes - the real one, as far as I can tell, not Cálice - was the way to clear it out.

Considering the ties to the elements of Harmony, it might be the same thing that turned Luna into Nightmare Moon. No way of tellin'.

The Corruption is a fitting name if it really made Nightmare Moon.

How did you know the Ugly-Corruption-Cure-Attempt in Stalliongard was tied to the real Pale Pony and not Calice?

The Elements of Harmony. They were granted, not used. If Cálice was really the one working to fix it, why would she give up what was hers? She'd just do the job herself.

That's the way I see it, at least.

Oh. Yeah that would be redundant huh? [Hello Wally!]

If the Corruption made Nightmare Moon and it made Calice too... And if it's the part of Calice that's running the experiments... Wouldn't that suggest the experiments are all about testing the Power of Friendship? Trying to uh disprove it maybe? Nightmare Moon and Calice are really into the whole "friendship means nothing" ordeal.

Can't say you're wrong there, chief.

And it's not like the nice stuff around here has been her doing... unless you count getting ponies in the Canterlot dungeons. Which caused a huge influx of superheroes that didn't know what the buck they were doing. Which... caused more strife and less friendship.

[Flare's trying to say that the things Cálice has done have been to intentionally wreck "friendship".]

The last battle definitely left some uh... bad feelings behind. And she just loves to tell others that friendship is a waste of time.

But uh since Twilight is the Princess of Friendship, if there's anything left of that Twilight base in her... Maybe showing her that friendship is powerful will wake up her nicer side? I don't think Calice can ignore it if we disprove her anti-friendship theory.

That's the plan I'm runnin' on now. This corrupted Cálice side is practically like an anti-Twilight, meanin' if we put enough pressure on her, we might be able t'turn her inside out again. Well, right-side-in. Y'know what I mean.
