They're a common type of power from my world, based on nanomachines. The most important thing you need to know is that they respond to mental commands, and one of them is shooting lasers.

Yeah. I don't have a lot of combat related abilities, but...well, anyway, the point is that you should be careful.

You might also feel a presence in the back of your mind. That's a Persona. You can summon it through an effort of will and it has its own abilities.

It's...kind of like a fragment of the consciousness that can manifest in the form of a mythological figure. It's an ability I picked up in the last place I was stuck.

He supports me when I need to fight and lets me use a couple of scanning abilities. He's mostly good at healing, though.

Pretty much. Just a bit more personalized than an Ether.

Well, if we're going to be in each others' bodies for a while, I guess having someone to talk to in my head isn't the worst thing.

I can definitely think of worse powers to have. And at least having a Persona is more useful than being able to turn into a ghost.
