Hey! Nice to meet you all. My name's Tails, and I'm new here. [He's learned a bit about Equestria from a friend of his in the last place he found himself. He extends his wings, and then realizes he has them.] Huh. I have wings, so I guess that means I can still fly, too!

Though I do have one question... [He motions to his wrench that's lying on the ground.] How d'you hold heavier stuff with your hooves? I can't really fix or build things like this.

Okay okay, constant vigilance. What's the second rule?

... So basically there aren't really any rules. At least, no serious ones. [That's what he's getting out of this.]

I guess physics work differently here? Or can you really break any rules?

You can do whatever you want! [Pinkie slings a foreleg over Tails's shoulders, gesturing widely with the other.] You just have to belieeeeeeeve!

Well, outside of time travel and turning back into your real form...

Really? You can't? [He takes out the ring that had changed him into a human before. Of course, he can't even fit it on his hooves. But the rune on one of its corners that usually glows to signal that it's working... isn't glowing anymore. It was no better than a normal ring.]

Well, that's a bummer.

[sailorlaughter]

Well, not yet. But we'll get out of here sooner or later! Hey, what's that for?

[She's pointing at the ring.]

Oh, this? [He holds it up.] It's a... uh... I guess you could call it a morphing ring of sorts. It used to let me change into a human and back to my usual form whenever I wanted, but it doesn't seem to work here.

...May I ask what that is?

It's a morphing ring of sorts. It used to allow me to change to a human form whenever I wore it, but its lost its power since arriving here.

I see.

Yeah, the Pale Pony...Calice, she's locked us into these forms, if it makes you feel better. Otherwise I'd look much more turtle with much less hair.

[sailorlaughter]

I'd look the same!

Pinkie Pie is a native of Equestria. Or, well, an Equestria, in another universe.

Ah yeah, this Equestria is an alternate Equestria from the one one of my friends is from. At least, that's what she told me. [Maybe Pinkie's from that one.]

Calice... [Yeah he's heard that name before, from the same friend, but doesn't actually know all that much.] What's known about her?

And I'd look like a fox with two tails. [He grins a little. He kind of misses his normal flying right now.]

She calls herself the Pale Pony. She's the one responsible for bringing us here, as far as we know. She's...incredibly powerful. Capable of de-powering anypony who tries to attack her outright, even as she's managed to somehow suppress powers to begin with.

[After a moment, he nodded.]

Yeah. Its a learning curve to get used to, but you do eventually adjust.
