That's right! You're looking at the soon-to-be newest, full-fledged Night Market guard.

[Princess Luna did say she'd be instated as a full guard at the turn of the new year. Apparently, Yang is hoping that was meant in the most literal sense. Either that or she just really wanted to remind everybody of the fact.]

I think that calls for a little celebration, eh? Who wants to join me for dinner and a few drinks at the Decanter tonight, hmm?

[She definitely means the non-alcoholic apple cider drinks there. ...Ruby, she'll bring a juice box of milk for you or something.]

Speaking of celebrations! I'll be attending that film festival in Canterlot next week. Anybody else coming with me?

[There's an actual pause as she squints at her feed, as if looking for her friends.]

Ruby? You'll go with me, right? Blake, I know you're coming.

Oh! Jaune! How 'bout you? Wanna bring your team along? I do owe you a fun time.

What all did you have planned for this outing?

Eh, nothing fancy. Mostly just kicking back with some good food and friends.

[And possibly a few drinks for the big kids if she can swing it. She does need to try not to dip too far into her savings though.]

We all knew each other back in our home-world, so we hang out a lot.

I hope I'm not intruding then on your friends. I'm new here after all so I didn't want to assume everyone's got friends they always hang out with.

Oh good, that sounds fun then. I hope it all goes well. You said you guys are all from the same world? How'd you all meet exactly?

We're all first-year students at Beacon Academy, training to be Huntsmen and Huntresses. We sorta bonded during Initiation.

[Fighting a pair of gigantic, deadly, soulless monsters will do that.]

So it's kind of like a superhero academy? Where you learn how to defend people who can't defend themselves?

[She laughs a little. Yeah, something tells her Ruby and Yayoi will definitely get along.]

Something like that. Back in our world, Huntsmen and Huntresses help keep the peace and protect the people from monsters called Grimm.

So cool! We don't have anything like that in our world, but we do have a lot of superheroes to protect the cities.

That's pretty cool. What kind of superheroes are we talking about here?

[She's kinda curious if they're anything like the ones in the comics they've got back home.]

There's some that fight as a team and pilot a giant robot, some who drive bikes and finish off opponents with flying kicks and punches, and there's some who are more the magical girl style but they also have a team oriented fighting style.

[Especially that middle group. Are they hiring? She'll bring her own motorbike.]

My sister Ruby'd probably love to see those giant robots. We've got androids and stuff back where we're from but they weren't pilot-able until recently.

Yeah it really is. Sometimes it gets a little scary but the cheers of the people literally empower these heroes.

Oh ho? Well I'll have to show her some pictures. I have my phone and while it's running out of charge I still have photos of the recent team of Kyoryugers and the current Rider, Wizard.

Empowerment from cheering? Well, that's one way to do it, I guess.

Yeah, most of the heroes of our world get stronger when people are cheering them on actually. Come to think about it, it's a given nowadays that it happens once in a while.

[She nods, with a wide grin on her face.]

Excellent! We're all gonna meet up in front of town hall at sundown and then pick a restaurant from there.
