Everypony, I'm sorry to bother you when the winter is like this, but I think that especially ponies form other worlds need to know something. Pinkie and I were talking, and I think I may know why we have a sudden storm. It could just be something un-schedules that nopony got told about, but... I think this could maybe be due to Windigos. I don't know for sure, I may be wrong entirely, but if I'm not then you need to be warned. Windigos feed off hatred and fighting, they could completely freeze over Ponyville in no time if they get enough power. They are very dangerous and almost unbeatable

As I said, I'm not for sure. I could just be over-thinking it. But I'm following my gut, and that's what it's telling me. If I'm right then be ready, because the Windigos won't stop until it's finished feeding off our anger and there is only one way to stop them, one that's gonna take a while to figure out how to create if we don't act soon."

They'll start on Ponyville, then head towards Canterlot. Then they'll spread out and blanket Equestria and further. Follow the path of negativity. I don't know if this is what Shanks set out to do with that movie, but if he did, then it was a disgustingly good job.

Got any ideas on how to forge the mythical fire from a foal's tale to stop them, though? For the moment, I'm just tryin' to keep people out of the bitter.

I don't know an exact way to get the Fire of Friendhsip forged, not yet anyways. I'm still not quite sure how Clover, Smart Cookie, and Pansy did it before except for then embracing their friendship and admitting that they don't hate each other. If setting aside anger and get everypony as possible to not fight is the key... then that's far easier said than done."

Especially when, at the root of it all, most of us are from worlds other than this one and are imprisoned against our wills.

Not exactly huggy-friendly friendship time for everyone. Only reason I've still got my wits around is because this place has helped me.

Yeah, that's one major problem along with that movie and everything else that's happened. It's not going to be at all easy to get everypony to set aside how they feel. But something is going to have to be done, otherwise Equestria will be in big trouble and that's a huge understatement.

Pinkie mentioned throwing a party to raise ponies spirits up... but I'm not 100% confident that that will be enough. Unfortunately I don't have any ideas right now, but I'm going to try to think of one unless somepony else figures out something first. But whatever we do, it's gonna require a lot of ponies and it'll likely need to be done in... likely a week's time."

Kind of, they're both fulled by anger and fighting. Only instead of hypnotizing people to be more negative and hateful, the Windigos use their storm to increase negativity, though not everpony may succumb to it. Also once they get enough power, they'll freeze everything, including ponies, alive.

I think that about covers it! You all should really try practicing more of what you preach~

[She had heard of them before. The story about Hearth's Warming told about the Windigos freezing the pony leaders.]

What do we need to do?

There's only one way to banish away the Windigos, and that's with the Fire of Friendship. But the only way for us to have any chance at reforging it is for everypony, or the vast majority at least, to set aside any anger and hostility they feel and embracce thei magic of friendship. But right now it's higher than ever, hence why they've re-appeared...

That could take time...trying to convince everyone to put aside their anger and distrust. Is there any way to slow down the Windigos until then?

I wish that there was. But the Windigos are practically unbeatable. The only way to buy time is to keep good relations with everypony, but even that may not last long. Fighting them also won't work, that'll only make them stronger. Until we find a way to forge the Fire of Friendship, all we can do is take cover where it's warm.

How do we stop them, Sunset?

[Well that was probably easier said than done. Not only were tensions already high, but the chill seemed to be extending all throughout town.

There's only one way. When the Windigos attacked long ago, three ponies kept them at bay by embracing their friendship and refusing to hate each other, hate that had caused the Windigos to strike to begin with. Due to it, a power known as the Fire of Freindship was created and it banished away the Windigos. The only way to get rid of the Windigos is for time to repeat itself and for the Fire of Friendship to be reforged...

...but it's easier said than done. There are far more ponies this time and there's been a lot of hostility and negativity in the past few months. Unless ponies can put that all aside and embrace their friendships with others, there's no chance of reforging the Fire.

Good. Just try your best to keep tensions with you and anyone that you're close with as low as possible. Even the slightest bit of anger going too far will fuel the Windigos and can allow them to freeze you alive.

[She nods.] All right.

For the Friendship Capital of Equestria, things are certainly looking bitter outside.

So? It can be fixed! Ponyville has conquered friendship problems before, so I've heard.

[She tried to not show her concerned face however, knowing that Discord kinda did have a point.]

Oh don't you worry, by the end of the week this will all be fixed. Just you wait and see.
