Three Cupcakes: Status Update

[Pinkie shows up on the scroll looking distracted, with smoke rising in the background. Considering she's supposed to be at a funeral right now, that's a little odd.]

Hey, everyone! If you're seeing this, that means you weren't just eaten by a giant artichoke-burny rainbow! So please answer this real quick so we can make sure everyone's still here? Oh, aaaaaaaaaand also a giant rainbow explosion just blew up all the artichokes to ask us for help, so we need to go do that sometime.

Other you? Naw, ah don't think so. Don't know what a cupcake is, either.

No, ah- [THAT FACE] A-alright...?

[One second, Pinkie's not there. The next, she is TOTALLY THERE and also half-shoving a pink-frosted cupcake into Nephenee's face.]

EAT IT! GOGOGO!

[Well she wonder where Pink-WHOA HI THERE. She blinks in surprise at the brightly frosted baked good in her face.]

Uh...a-alright.

[She gingerly takes the cupcake out of the rather eager pony's hoof, looks at it...then takes a small bite.]

[...Hey this was....]

[...really good. She'd never tasted something so sweet. But it wasn't too sweet...just right, actually.

She stares at it for a bit.]

[And she bites into it a bit more this time. After finishing this bite, she looks at Pinkie, awe and a smile on her face.]

Ya said this is called a cup-cake?

[sailorlaughter]

Yeah! That one's strawberry flavored! So you like it? DoyadoyaDOYA?

Ah sure do. How do ya make 'em?

[sailorlaughter]

Oh, that's EASY! C'mon, I'll show you!

[She starts dragging Nephenee away, and - yep there's a song.]

Oh, alr- ah!

[And so Pinkie dragged her along, bouncing as she sang. Neph did her best to bounch along, but with the surprise, she ended up -thud!-ing more often than not on the ground. Daisy meanwhile hopped right along.
Well, she certainly couldn't fault the pink pony her...enthusiasm.

Eventually, they ended up in front of a happy, brightly colored house. The decor reminded Nephenee strongly of the cupcake she had just had, though she was unsure why.]

So, what's this place?

This is Sugarcube Corner! I work here, and live here too, and THIS is where we make all the cupcakes and stuff! C'mon!

[Bouncing inside now]

Alright.

[And so she followed the ecstatic pink filly in after brushing herself off outside, and looked around. What a cozy place. But the kitchen? When they came to the kitchen (at least, she THOUGHT it was the kitchen), she was dumbfounded by the gadgets and whatsits and doohickeys. It was a lovely place, with cabinets and counters the color of her mane, cute curtains...all in all, a nice place. But what the heck were these things?]

Wow...this is your kitchen?

[sailorlaughter]

Well, it's the Cake's kitchen, but since I work for them and live here and stuff, it's pretty much mine too!

[Pinkie certainly ACTS like she owns the place; opening the fridge, she takes out a tray of identical strawberry cupcakes and places it on the counter.] See, here's the rest of them! We'll probably sell them up front later, I think the display thing's full up now!

[Neph looks at the cupcakes, so perfectly pick and lovely, then up at the fridge.]

...What in Tellius is this?

[sailorlaughter]

It's a fridge! It keeps your stuff cold, see? [She opens it, letting a wave of chill air come out.]

[fenifilly]

[Nephenee stares. And then tentatively steps up to it. Sure enough, that is cold air.]

And you...store food in here?

[sailorlaughter]

You got it! It helps it to stay fresh longer!
