[The screen opens up to a green pony as he's pacing; his steps are slow and deliberate, each hoof lifting a little too high as he gets used to walking. He doesn't seem to notice that his scroll has unfurled, too busy as he was trying to stay calm.]

Okay...okay, this is fine. I'm fine...there's...there's a reasonable explanation for this...

[He nearly trips but manages to catch himself, though a look at one hoof has him on the edge of panic.]

I'm dreaming. Right...that's what this is. I hit my head, and I'm in the hospital dreaming...yeah...

[He runs a hoof through his mane, but pauses to glance up at his head.]

Aww man, my hat...

I see. Well this is Equestria. Has anypony explained to you about where youa re and hwy you're most likely here?

Actually, that's the first time I've heard the name. ["Equestria", huh? Patchouli mentioned "Equestrian" culture, but he thought it was just because of the pony thing.] Someone did mention Calice, though.

Okay, no need to get into her then. Equestria is the land that you are in now. It's a land where humans don't exist amd the main species is ponies. There are various other creatures here too such as dragons and griffons. You've been turned into an Earth pony, which is pretty much a regular pony.

[He nods.] Right...I met some unicorns earlier...and a griffon. Heard about the dragons. What other kinds are there?

Well along with Earth ponies and unicorns, the third main species of pony are pegasi and they're in charge of the weather. Here, ponies have to make the weather work, the plants grow, and the seasons come, they don't come naturally like in the human world. Then there are alicorns, they are a combination of the three pony species and maintain princess status. They're the rulers of Equestria and have a specific task to tend to, such as rising the sun. Then we also have animals that you would find in the human world like turtles and owls, but the vast majority can't talk.

[Give him a moment to process all this.] So...this world is run and maintained by creatures that...don't even exist in other worlds... [Where to start?]

Yep. That's about the gist of it. Its a bit of a shock, right?

[Cause learning that weather and nature worked naturally was quite a shock to her when she was in the human world.]

Yeah, a little bit. [It was very interesting, though. He just needs a little bit of time to understand it.] I've also heard there was a lot of magic involved in this world.

Yes, Equestria is a world that is very reliant on magic. All ponies have it, but to different degrees. Pagasi can fly and are the only ponies that can move clouds, make the weather, and stand on clouds. Earth ponies, like you, have special connections with nature and tend to the land. Unicorns, like me, have levitation abilities channeled through their horn and can use magic in various other ways if they choose to learn to do so in depth.

[And it seems they relied as much on each other as they did magic in this world.]

Exactly. Everypony has a part to play and it's trough that unity that Equestria a able to function. In this world, unity and friendship are very highly valued. Without it... well, it wouldn't be good for this world...

[And right now, with the recent tensions and especially after the Windigos, it really wasn't looking good.]

Well we have a library here, so you can go there to look up anything that you may be curious about.
