[The screen opens up to a green pony as he's pacing; his steps are slow and deliberate, each hoof lifting a little too high as he gets used to walking. He doesn't seem to notice that his scroll has unfurled, too busy as he was trying to stay calm.]

Okay...okay, this is fine. I'm fine...there's...there's a reasonable explanation for this...

[He nearly trips but manages to catch himself, though a look at one hoof has him on the edge of panic.]

I'm dreaming. Right...that's what this is. I hit my head, and I'm in the hospital dreaming...yeah...

[He runs a hoof through his mane, but pauses to glance up at his head.]

Tis naught a big issue however. What you need to know is that our world, as this one has been, has drawn you here for whatever reason. Try naught to get too worked up about it, it will only cause discomfort later on.

The land we are in is Equestria, a world besieged by a mad alicorn calling herself Calice, the Pale Pony. A assumed goddess of death, she has been connecting worlds and bringing people and others alike to this world, transforming them into natives presumably, as well as letting them into this world for reasons unknown only to herself as far as I am aware.

I am one of the princesses in this world, Princess Luna, the mare of the night. Unfortunately, my own strength has been dampened and I cannot oppose Calice directly, or match the might of my own self in this world who resides in Canterlot.

With me so far?

As far as I am aware, there is no way to directly confront her. However there have been attempts at drawing her out into this world, and staving off her effectiveness. The power of Friendship and trust is a strong thing, but we need strength to withstand the tide if she sends enemies from the dark to fight us in the flesh.

So now that I'm here...what happens?

As I suggest to newcomers who I manage to meet, try to aid one another. Cultivate friendships, do your favorite thing in the world and remember you are fighting for your own world.

That being said, there's a stipend for newcomers and housing everywhere. You are not required to get a job, but it will help fund any projects you undertake. That being said, come see me if you need more than the average item.

Yeah, I heard about that. The commune, right? I'm planning on checking it out. Getting a job would be a good idea, though.

The commune and other places. You are not restricted to that place alone, simply as one of the options available. There are hotels and buildings to fix up, as well as renting a room from one of the locals or newcomers who have space.

Jobs are submitted to the Mayor's Office for higher profile ones. Any others are offered by the stores and businesses themselves. I myself own the hot springs here in town.
