Everypony, if I can have a moment of your time? I just wanted to try something out. A test, if you will.

I've come to understand there are a number of us here who have amazing powers and abilities and the like. And, well, after what's happened, I'd like to test something out.

Some of us have... I guess the best way to describe it is "superhero forms", giving us these amazing costumes and powers. Now, I don't want to give everypony powers - that would be irresponsible of me. No, I wanna test out how feasible it is convert that kind of outfit into something practical for other ponies to use. Like regular clothing, but can help them withstand something brutal so they can have a way to keep going without us around.

It's just a thought and I'm pretty sure it'll take a lot of work to even get a prototype running, but at the same time it'll be a nice long term goal!

[And Twilight holds up the mask once more and begins to fiddle with it before undoing it before Violet's eyes.]

[Violet's ears shoot up in surprise, but she somehow manages to keep quiet even as the mask is completely unraveled.]

[With a nod, Violet stepped a bit closer, touching the tip of her horn to one end of the thread. Then with a glow of violet light, her horn and the thread faded from sight.]

It's certainly a different type of material, that's for sure. Something that reacts to your powers...

[She looks over at the threads once more before an idea hits.]

Say, how good are you with controlling your powers? Maybe if we can focus it just enough, I might be able to see what is what here.

[Violet hesitates at the question, her hoof shuffling a bit.]

I'm...okay, I guess. Not perfect yet, though. Depends on what you need me to do.

Well, I was hoping I could get just some of the strands reacting to your powers. I was thinking that it's less the entire outfit, but something in them. Like a chain reaction!

[That might require trying to slow down how quickly her powers work. Which...she's never done before.]

Do you think you can do that? Don't push yourself if you can't - I don't know how you work after all!

I...I can't make any promises. I've never really tried before.

[After all, force fields and going invisible aren't really too useful if they don't go up quickly.]

[Taking a deep breath, Violet then closed her eyes, her horn lighting up with magic again.

But she took her time, feeling her powers first before trying to activate them. She had no idea if what she was doing was working, but she focused on taking it slow, hoping her powers would follow.]

[It took awhile for anything significant to happen, but it finally did and, just like Twilight thought, it looked like the threads were reacting to the magic, then pushing the reaction to other threads.]

Wow...

[It doesn't last long; concentrating on doing it slow took a lot more effort than just using her powers at all.

When the magic faded and everything was visible, she shook her head and looked at Twilight.]

How was that?

That was great! I could see just what I wanted! Though, slow invisibility? I don't think it would really work in the long run. Not for anything too practical.

[She chuckled just a bit.]

I'm certain, though, you could work more on that, but perhaps later... like I said, I got to see what I wanted!

Yeah...invisibility doesn't really help too much if it takes too much time to happen.
