Afternoon of the 7th [Visual]

[Feena's day started like any other day. She woke up (though she didn't remember sleeping on the couch), made breakfast, made some tea, and just did her share of chores. It's not until early afternoon after she finishes her chores that she decides to go outside. She grabs today's newspaper and sits down at her kitchen table to drink another cup of tea. She was reading up on the current events, when her eyes just briefly glanced over at the date. She does a double-take, and she nearly chokes on her tea.

February 7th? No, it's February 3rd, not February 7th. What on earth is going on here?

Feena decides to consult those on the scrolls, holding up her calendar and smirking.]

Either this is just an innocent misprint, or an innocuous prank. Did this happen to anyone else?

Well they're not here usually. I don't even tend to use this decor.

[Her glowing yellow wings flapped once.] Thanks, I like them though. Mana Eggs?

Mana Eggs are eggs I would find on my adventures that allowed me to learn certain abilities. Usually Fire, Earth, Wind, and Water abilities.

[Excluding her Icarian magic, though. She's always had that.]

Yeah I only have one element and that's lightning. Even though I call it Peace Thunder. But it's what I do with it that's the thing.

Well, still, you've impressed me. [Feena grinned, draping a foreleg over Yayoi's shoulders.]

You won't have to worry about anyone messing with you with those--

[Feena stops, and she sniffs briefly before her eyes grow wide. No. Oh god please no. No no no no no! How could she have been so stupid? She stares in horror at the stump, which was now on fire, and the flames are now traveling to the grass beneath it.]

Aaah, oh no!

[pikapikapikarin]

Oh crud. I got this! [Holding up her hands, electrical discharge crackled between it. Surprisingly, the flames began to draw into Peace.] Just gotta match the intensity...!

[She was literally sucking up the flames into her aura which burned a brilliant yellow-and-red.]

[Feena's not usually one to panic, but at seeing those flames, she thought she was going to. Until Yayoi started... what on earth? Was she sucking the flames into her? That's got to hurt! The earth pony doesn't know if it's safe to touch her friend right now, but she places a hoof on her shoulder, worried.]

Wait! Doesn't that hurt you?

Naw, I've combined my powers with a fire user before. This is old hat. [She hopes. She hadn't actually combined with Akane for a while, so this was slow going. But the fire swirled about her harmlessly before crackling into a golden aura.] There we go.

Oh, thank goodness. [She puts a hoof on her chest to calm her rapidly beating heart. Silence ensues... and then Feena just bursts out laughing uncontrollably. She's laughing so hard she has to lean on Yayoi to keep from falling over.]

It is a little scary sometimes... [She admitted before grinning at Feena.] But it worked out.

[Her laughing fit dies down, and she wipes her eyes and gives a grin back. Feena pulled the other girl into a hug.]

Today was fun. I'm really proud to have a friend who's so cool. I won't worry about you too much when we leave for the Everfree. I know you can handle anything we come up against.

Aww thank you! And I know you can handle yourself just fine too. This should be FUN.

[She hugged Feena back with a laugh.] Lets go get supper. My treat.

Okay, I'm starving! Race you back!

You're on! [Of course Yayoi's going to lose, having de-transformed. She's not very athletic but hey, good end to the day.]
