[There have been a lot of apologies going around since they'd managed to reforge the 'Fire of Friendship' to drive off the Windigos. Donna's been holding off, too embarrassed to join in the chorus, but there's really not a way to avoid it. At least she can limit the apology proper to the members of the commune. Everyone else? Well, there were a lot of people who could help with building.]

Hey, everybody. This is Donna Noble from the Ponyville Commune. We had some trouble recently and are looking for any help we can get to organize a building party. This isn't just for the commune, though, it's something I'd like to put together for something more regular in case any of us need the help. With everything we've faced since getting here, with as kind as the ponies in Ponyville are, I think we owe it to them to have some sort of, I dunno, on-call group. A bunch of us who'll come and fix something up if it gets knocked down in the latest invasion or whatever. If you'd like to help, please let me know. I'll be setting something up for the commune soon. I know the Agency needs some work for expansion, too, that we could see to helping with after that.

[Donna takes a deep breath before addressing the scroll this time.]

Donna, here, again. I just wanted to say everybody at the Commune that I'm sorry. I'm the one who half burned down the barn. I'll see to setting it right, help or not, but... I-I need to get ahold of the powers I've suddenly got. They're dangerous. I think I should probably leave for a bit until that's sorted. Plenty of nice caves in the Everfree. [Her smile is more half-hearted than she meant it to be.] I want to make sure the repairs happen, but after that, I'll see myself off just until I can figure out a little more control. Nephenee, I'm more than happy to keep track of the commune's finances still. Just might be a little more work communicating via scroll.

Terra, we need to talk. I think I caught your magic. How would that happen?

[Yang's hardly one to judge given the way she met and bonded with her current group of friends.]

It sure sounds exciting! Hey, if anything, I'd totally be down for a ride in that thing by myself.

[There's the briefest hesitation.]

I mean, just so long as I won't be gone too long, right? I've got my training to finish and stuff.

[And it's just not...sitting right with her to pick up and leave her team behind for an extended amount of time. ...Never mind leaving her sister.]

It's a time machine. You could travel for ages and pop back five minutes after you left! Well, we'd have to hound the Doctor to figure it out before we set off - he doesn't really think about things like time passing for normal people the way it does. Part of being a Time Lord, I guess.

No kidding??

[Just being able to travel to other worlds was cool enough, but being able to do it and have no time lost back home? Now that was awesome.

She grins widely.]

Well, I'm sold.

Bet that'd convince a few of my friends to come along too.

It's the best thing ever! [Donna agrees.] You can go to the beginning of the universe, the end of it, ancient Greece, space stations built thousands of years on. [It's almost infinite impossibility.]

I will warn you, there's a lot of running involved with the Doctor, though. Best keep a spare set of shoes handy for when you start wearing holes into the first set.

I'm sure he'd be open to your friends, too. [She'd make him be open to it.] Bunch of monster fighters? So long as none of you use guns, he'll be fine.

[She has to laugh again at the sentiment.]

Don't worry, my clothing's almost as durable as I am.

[Her boots were made for walking...over the bodies of her fallen enemies.]

That's great though! I'll have to tell them all about-

[You can almost hear the record scratch.]

Wait, what's wrong with guns?

[Oh dear, that might be a problem.]

The Doctor doesn't like them very much. [Donna's gaze drops.] His daughter was killed by one... and I think other people he knew before I knew him, too.

[Aw, come on, that's not fair. Doesn't he know guns don't kill people; people kill people? 8( ]

Thaaaat's too bad. Pretty much all the weaponry me and my friends use to fight with double as guns.

['Cept for Jaune. ...And Weiss, sort of.]

[Donna frowns. She doesn't want to put Yang off just because of this.]

Well, I mean, you're never going to convince him they're all right, but he's had people help him who do use them. You all right with snappy remarks now and again? He'll probably deal with it, he'll just sulk a bit. You know men when they're upset? He does this 'Oncoming Storm' brooding thing.

[Yang can't help but giggle a little.]

Oh yeah. I've seen that before.

I can handle snappy remarks though. Just so long as he can take as good as he gives.

[There's no hiding the slight grin at that. She has definitely been known to snark after all.]

[She smiles. Okay. Girls are back in business!]

Oh, believe you me, he can take a lot, and he's a long streak of skinny motor mouth. Let him get going he'll run away with things and need someone to start dishing it out.

[The mare buffs her hoof on her coat.]

Reckon I wasn't bad for that, but I could always use the extra help. D'you know, once? We were running for our lives in this middle of this planet that was a library and we hit a locked door. He pulls out his screwdriver and tries to sonic the thing open while these aliens that can strip the flesh off your bones in half a moment were coming. I finally had to pull the twit away so I could kick the bloody door in. In heels. I love the man, but he's about the most useless twit sometimes.

[That makes her laugh even harder than before.]

Yeah, I can think of a few guys I know like that too.

[Okay, that's being a little unfair to Jaune, Sun, and Neptune perhaps.]

Well, if you need somebody to help kick doors in and fight monsters, then I'm your girl.

Could always use more of those.

[It had been fun when Martha went traveling with them. Having someone else apart from the Doctor to chat with had been a relief when he'd been in one of his more brooding moods.]

There are a lot of doors, a lot of monsters, and a lot of running. Bring your best trainers and you'll be set!

[A grin.]

I'll be sure to bring my combat boots then.

[They're awesome. They've even got little white bows on the back of them.]

[A small pause before Donna adds a little ruefully.]

Hopefully, we'll all actually have feet instead of hooves for this. Though it is easier running on four legs. I'll talk to you soon, Yang. And thanks.
