[There's a little yellow fox who seems to be having the hardest time deciding if he wants to actually be on the feed or not. He shifts back and forth, eyes never making direct contact, until he finally settles for half and half.
Baby's first scroll visual.]
Is it true that this town pays tribute to a large dragon in exchange for their safety...? With everyone asleep this past week, it would make sense that payment would be...short, and I haven't seen anyone worrying about it...
Then again, I haven't seen any dragons since I got here, but they insisted they were one...
[He shuffles uncomfortably, still not looking directly into the scroll. How...how do you turn it off...? How does he end this?]
I'd simply like to know if we're all going to die...
[...Perfect.]

Well it wasn't very fun for me.
But I suppose that's what I get for trusting so easily, I've learned my lesson.
[Which is a shame, Kafei really did like that he could just talk to people around here.]
[Visual]
He shakes his head a little, annoyed.]
Look. You can't just stop trusting people here because some choad thought he was funny playing a trick on you. The moment you stop trusting people in a place like this you might as well be dead.
You need other people here. Anyone who tries to stand entirely on their own is screwed.
[Visual]
...Well, as far as anyone else knows, but that's not the point. He's sure he could've handled everything by himself...
The point is, people are terrible.]
You really think this was all it took for me to come to my conclusion? It isn't just here, it's everywhere. Even back home, people are unnecessarily cruel and prey on anyone who's happier than they are. Maybe if I'm as miserable, they'll finally leave me alone. I didn't do anything to deserve any of this!
[Visual]
Hey, I'm pretty much the last guy to tell you you should like people, but not all of them are terrible. Some of them are even pretty great, though it's not like I'm telling them that.
You can try being miserable, but coming from someone who tried that before: it doesn't work. All it does is make you angrier and angrier, and you're going to be worse for it than anything.
[Visual]
Looking back, Kafei stares at this guy with a rather judgmental glance.]
Then what about yourself? Should I like you?
Re: [Visual]
I don't know. I'd say no, probably, if t was just me. But-
Other people, back where I'm from, ended up liking me. And sometimes they see things about you that you don't know about, or that could be.
I dunno. That's part of why you need other people, as much as they suck, I guess.
[Visual]
So far, the people in this town who've offered to help me have all turned out to be very trustworthy. Considering that you're helping me in your own...unique way, I'd like to assume the same can be said about you.
That's why I need to know right now. If I trust you, will I end up regretting it?
Re: [Visual]
Besides the advice I'm giving you right here, right now
Yeah. Yeah you probably will.
[Visual]
Very well.
Then I wish you the best of luck.
Re: [Visual]
Good luck.
