[There's a little yellow fox who seems to be having the hardest time deciding if he wants to actually be on the feed or not. He shifts back and forth, eyes never making direct contact, until he finally settles for half and half.

Is it true that this town pays tribute to a large dragon in exchange for their safety...? With everyone asleep this past week, it would make sense that payment would be...short, and I haven't seen anyone worrying about it...

Then again, I haven't seen any dragons since I got here, but they insisted they were one...

[He shuffles uncomfortably, still not looking directly into the scroll. How...how do you turn it off...? How does he end this?]

I'd simply like to know if we're all going to die...

I may not be the best to ask for advise, I very rarely ever gave out gifts...

Back where I come from, masks were quite popular. I doubt it's the same here, I've yet to see anyone wearing any, but it's just an idea.

I'd still prefer food.

[Skyfire just grins a little.]

Like I said, food tends to be the popular thing.

Let me know when you'd like to have me treat you? [After all, he wasn't about to assume that he wanted to go right this minuet. Skyfire knew that others had their own lives after all and that they wouldn't necessarily want to drop everything to go for a treat or drink.]

Would you like me to meet you at a shop, or would you like me to come pick you up from somewhere?

[Skyfire thought it better to offer options. After all, maybe he wasn't comfortable with having someone he just met knowing where he lived... right?]

[Well, the easiest course of action would be to have this dragon come to him. So of course that's the option he takes.]

You'll have to forgive me, I'm not great with instructions. Do you know who Fluttershy is?

It's no trouble at all, worst case all you'd have to do is give me the general area. I've gotten pretty good at figuring out locations while flying.

Yes, I do. Are you staying with her? [That would definitively make finding the right place to come pick him up a lot easier, that was certain.]

Not quite, but I am situated just outside her cottage.

[And if he knows where that is, it saves him a whole lot of explaining time.]

[Skyfire nods.]

I think I'll be able to find the right spot... I can be over in about... ten minuets if that works for you?

That's fine, I shall wait for your arrival.

[He supposes this means he'll have to sit outside now.]

[A chuckle and a nod]

I'll be there shortly then. Feel free to stay inside until I get there? I'm... not easy to miss.

[Indeed, just under eight minuets later, Skyfire is landing close to the correct area and starts to walk towards Fluttershy's. There is really no way to miss him, he's huge. Really, he'd not blame Kafei if he backed out of meeting him, and there would be no hard feelings if he did.]

[Ohhhhh he's big, much bigger than the scroll made him appear, and it already made him look pretty big. Then again, Kafei reassures himself that he's been shorter than everyone for some time now, what difference does it make? Besides how much easier he could be stepped on...

Or eaten...

Or worse...

It's be so much easier to hide away, why'd he even give out his location? Foolish, foolish mistake...

And yet, there he is, approaching a dragon of all things. It's like his feet decide to disobey him, moving on their own. Maybe, deep down inside, he just really wants free stuff...]

I do hope you can hear me up there, I don't intend to shout.

[Well, if nothing else, the way Skyfire moves should put Kafei's mind at least somewhat at ease that he won't be stepped on. For being so big, he seems to have a good awareness of where things are and avoids them deftly.

Spotting Kafei, Skyfire gives him a gentle smile, careful to not show teeth or seem predatory and lays himself down on the ground to remove as much of the size difference as he can... Which admittedly isn't all that much, but he's trying at least.]

I can hear you just fine. [He flicks his ears a bit to draw attention to them, and hopefully set Kafei at ease by joking a bit.] These things aren't just for decoration... the antlers however, seem to serve no purpose other than as bird perches.

Protection against other dragons, attracting mates. I don't know much about dragons, but if they're anything like anything else that possesses antlers...

[Just throwing out ideas there.

...And then his ears fold back when he realizes how casual he's being about all of this. Clearing his throat, he continues.]

How do you suggest we go into town?

[Skyfire just chuckles softly. Casual is more than fine, in fact he looks glad that Kafei is being that way about it.]

All they've done so far is attract birds... and gotten caught on everything.

[He does pause to consider that problem a moment, tilting his head a bit in thought.]

Would you be comfortable with me giving you a ride there?

[Kafei hesitates, shuffling a bit while he thinks it over.]

...

[On one hand, it'll be easier, he won't have to walk... It'd also make it more difficult to eat him... Really, there's no downside...]

Very well.

Hmm... this could be a bit of a problem. [Skyfire can't help but notice the hesitation and lays himself down on the ground, sloping a wing to make it easier for Kafei to get up onto his back. The size difference was such a hassle sometimes.]

If it helps any, we'll be walking over... and no, I don't eat peo... er poni... animals? [He sighs and it's obvious he's struggling to find the correct word, not wanting to accidentally insult Kafei, and finally just ends up going with the default.] I don't eat sentient beings.

[Skyfire is doing his best to ease any worries Kafei has... whether or not it works...]
