[Applejack appears, but she's not really looking at the camera. She's holding her hat in her hoof, and her mane hangs over her eye. It's safer that way, because she's really about to lose control here.]

I know some of y'all are waiting to hear how it went, meeting her. Calice.

Well, we know a few things more about her, and we'll tell you what you want to know, but more important than that right now is...I failed a friend of mine. Two friends, counting Calice. Our words couldn't reach her, and she's more determined to fight us than ever.

Worse, Fluttershy---the one with the little digi-critters---she saved our hides, but Calice snagged her. She's trapped, and knowing what I know now....

I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry.

[Unable to say another word for now, she closes the scroll, about ready to cry.]

"It was...kinda like the magic from the Elements, but not. I don't know---we were all trapped in the light ball, it's hard to explain. Maybe I was seeing things. But I know she was jumping out in front of us, in front of that claw."

She let out a long, low sigh. That Fluttershy, ever the hero.

"So she did use it." Luna smiled as she moved forward and gave Applejack a brief hug. "That... was my blessing, Applejack. She used it to save all of you. She knew what she was doing. I gifted her alicorn magic, and she used it to prevent all of you from being in danger."

"Think not of this as a sacrifice, but of a method that we can continue working against this injustice wrought upon our people."

"I don't know how I'll ever thank her when the time comes, but I will," she promised, tentatively returning the hug for a moment.

"Then...if your light was with her...we can find her again, right?"

Luna thought about it for a moment. "It might take some time, but I may find a way. Chances are she might find a way back before I can locate her, but... if there is a chance to connect to her since we share the same power, then I will try."

"I sure hope so. Fluttershy..."

She placed a hoof over her heart. "We believe in you. Come home safe...we'll help however we can."

Luna mimicked the motion before nodding. "Feeling a little better now?"

"I reckon so," she said after a moment of reflection. "Thank you, Luna. I'll be all right now."
