[Lyra opened the mail today while she was taking breakfast tea, and spittaked. Are you serious?!

Grabbing for her scroll, she coughed up a bit of tea before clearing her throat.] Ruby, Ruby, can you take care of the store for a weekend? I need to take an emergency trip to Neighpon. My old talent agency sent me a letter and I'm going to be auditioning for a live action moviehouse serial!

If I get the part, I'll be leaving next month to take care of some things. Production is at the Neighpon capital but I'll be back this weekend. We'll see what comes up.

And I'm going to need a trans-continental teleport for anyone who knows how to do that. I haven't seen Alastor for a while, so I'm assuming he's drowning in paperwork.

I'll need a return trip too, because taking the train is going to be a long trip, almost double the travel time.

[Sitting down, she brushed her mane back as she continued to read the letter.] Can't believe Ishinohorace called me. I didn't think he remembered that I still acted on the side. The project in the production is called Ninja Cap-tan. I should be all right to take some time off to film this.

Just over here. [She tossed a couple of pretty shirts into the suitcase before wiping her brow.] It's been a while since I packed for a trip this size.

[Giving Nozomi a smile, she gestured her over and sat down in her usual manner.] The part I've been called for is to try out for White Ninjer, a Wind-themed ninja named Fuuka. They wanted somepony different, and since I've got extensive history as a recurring guest star in previous Gotoei stuff, I've been allowed a shot at a starring role.

Oh, wow, that's great!

But... if you get a role like that, you'll be gone for quite awhile. Are you sure you're fine with that?

Well.... maybe its for the best.

[She sighed a little, placing the script down into her lap.] I don't know what to do anymore. A part of me just wants to take off again.

You've lost everything and now you feel lost, huh?

[And Nozomi's quick to move over and hug Lyra]

[Lyra nodded and then relaxed into Nozomi's hug, giving her a brief hug back.] Basically it.

It... hurts being alone. The quiet stillness of the night, the lack of breathing next to me...

... my bed has been cold for two months now. And I don't mean that in a naughty way. When you sleep next to somepony for years, it feels empty when they're gone.

[And Nozomi pulls back and starts shaking Lyra] You've been like this for that long and not once you've bothered to ask for help?! I would have dragged you to my and Mako's home! I'm not going to let a friend suffer like this!

I'm stubborn that way. My old psychiatrist told me to bear with it.

[She laughed bitterly despite the shaking.] He wasn't good for me anyhow. I realize this.

Still... I'm pretty thankful you're here.

[Nozomi stops shaking Lyra, then sighs.] Lyra... you're my friend. You've been my friend since that incident a year ago. I'm not going to let you suffer like this.

If I can't help a friend somehow, then what good will I be if I become a Princess?

[At that, Lyra offered her a smile.] A still-mortal princess, an fallible one. Nopony's perfect, and yet I understand what you mean.

It just feels frustrating sometimes. I'd rather bury myself into work. You know as well as I do that I'm nearly chronically incapable of holding down a job. The only thing I'm good at is acting and research.

Yeah, I know. I... I just wish I could help more.

[At that, a question she never figured she'd ask.] Would I better as I am now?

You are helping.

And... as for the other part, I think anypony who really gets to know you better would be all right with following you as either as a unicorn or a alicorn.

It's what's inside that counts. [And she tapped Nozomi's chest with a hoof.] The wings are a bonus for us unicorns. And all, I think it's your deeds that make you a princess, not the horn and wings.
