Stitch Five [Visual] - April 1st after the initial attack.
[The scrolls will glow. Open it at your leisure. 'Cause Kanji's feeling fiery as hell and can only find one outlet for it... for now.]
[He's lying on a mat at first, but he planted his hooves and is forcing himself upright from what shelter he'd been taken to. His legs are shaky and his eyes are dull from the loss of his magic, and at first his voice is raspy...]
W-we're not gonna take it...
[He took a deep breath, grit his teeth, and sucked in a breath. This is his first time, be gentle. Time to stop being shy. It had to happen eventually, right? He knew this song among many others. Maybe it'd been sung before, he didn't know. But it was appropriate for right now. Have some slightly-abridged Twisted Sister!]
NO! We ain't gonna take it!
We're not gonna take it anymoooore!
We've got the right to choose, and
there ain't no way we'll lose it
This is our life, this is our song!
We'll fight the powers that be, just,
don't pick our destiny 'cause
YOU DON'T KNOW US
you don't belong!
We're not gonna take it-
NO! We ain't gonna take it!
We're not gonna take it anymooooore!
[His scowl deepens, his voice stronger now. Eyes on what passes for the camera on this thing.]
Oh, you're so condescending
your gall is never-ending
we don't want nothin', not a thing from you!
Your life is trite and jaded,
boring and confiscated,
if that's your best, your best won't do!
Oh...
Oh...
We're right!
We're free!
We'll fight!
You'll see!
We're not gonna take it!
NO, we ain't gonna take it!
We're not gonna take it anymoooore!
We're not gonna take it!
NO, we ain't gonna take it!
We're not gonna take it anymooooore!
JUST YOU TRY AND MAKE US!
We're not gonna take it!
NO, we ain't gonna take it!
We're not gonna take it anymoooore!
[Good. He feels better. Maybe someone else out there feels better, too. It tired him out, but he wasn't about to show it. But even though they were dull, his eyes sharpened the best they could as he rolled the scroll shut, ending the feed.]

[Action]
Yu-senpai started actin' weird, said all those things to her. I guess it put all the pressure to take his role herself. Leadership ain't easy. I guess I can kinda see why the guy didn't wanna do it any more.
Not that it was done with any kinda grace... but what can we do at this point but get goin' and take on whatever comes at us? Helped us get as...
[He paused, visibly wilted. Another downswing of fatigue.]
...as far as we are now...
[He fought to keep his head up, but it instead lowered to the mat despite his tensing neck.]
Th-the two of us, y'know...?
[Action]
[This probably wasn't the time for Naoto to be going on about this, but she didn't have any time to vent between everything. He had been in Calice, they had been traveling, and she just didn't want to think about it... but this whole battle was just bringing it up again.]
... I know. Sorry for bringing all of this on you while you're in this condition. I should be able to wait until Tirek is dealt with.
[Action]
[He took a breath, and slowly brought his head back up.]
But you understand it, Naoto. That's... that's what friendship is.
I don't like... what's goin' on right now, neither. But we can't fix it. Stuff like this is a problem only they can fix. Yukiko-senpai... and Yu-senpai... need to talk, and figure some stuff out.
It's the waiting for them to realize this and go through with it... that's frustrating. I ain't happy with waiting around and watchin' 'em avoid each other.
[A labored breath, but he turned and nuzzled her the best he could.]
...You had this burnin' in your head for a while, huh? Don't worry about the condition... talk t'me.
[Action]
[She was going to do it. Nothing was going to stop her, not even Yukiko's magic or new weapons. Feeling his nuzzle, she nudged him back, head resting close to his so he didn't have to move as far.]
... I don't enjoy being put into situations like this. At least, I don't feel myself enjoying it. This team has been my first group of friends so to hear everyone angering each other... I almost feel as if disassociating myself to them is just easier. At the same time, I don't want to lose everyone like this. Even if they're not the senpai I'm going to return to, they're the ones here now.
[Action]
[But she was speaking the truth now, something he had the feeling that she'd been keeping under wraps for a long time, even before all of this had started. Was stepping away from them easier? It certainly sounded like it. But was it true...?]
You're preachin' to the choir. I didn't... really have friends growin' up. Maybe one or two, but I helped push away any others that wanted to come close.
But you changed all that, as ya know. I still can't thank you enough for givin' me the kick in the ass I needed, even if ya didn't realize it at the time.
[But he took a moment to catch his breath, and after a swallow he continued.]
But if ya want my advice... Yu-senpai showin' his face is a good thing. That means we're gonna get some explanations soon. And if nobody's givin' any, you do your detective thing. You get some answers out of 'em. Then, the damn lovebirds need to talk already.
'Cause you're right- they can't keep running away. It makes the messes bigger. People gotta realize that they're gonna face ugliness, face discomfort, and that they can't just stick their damn fingers in their ears and ignore it forever. They gotta face it.
They'll never grow up otherwise. I mean, this should be a piece of cake- we faced our Shadows, didn't we?
[Action]
That time...
[It was a buck in the rear for him she didn't mean to cause.]
If either of them attempts to run away, I'll track them down. Whatever's going on with Yu-senpai, whatever it's making Yukiko-senpai go through, it's destructive for both of them.
We may have, but not Yu-senpai from what I understand.
[Action]
Right... I was told he just didn't have one. Izanagi just kinda popped out of him 'cause he's a Wild Card or somethin'.
I thought it was just 'cause he's Senpai, but I remember readin' some books back home... uh, th-the you from my time loaned 'em to me... the guy was writing about how everybody had one. It screamed 'no exceptions'.
So it left me wondering how the hell he did it. It also makes me worry like hell about him. I get this bad feeling in my gut.
[Action]
... That feeling in your gut is most likely correct.
[Action]
...How do ya figure?
[Action]
Tirek... before we escaped, he said he had one among us on his side.
[Action]
[He looked away, but still looked hesitant.]
M-maybe he meant somebody else! 'Cause that's- that ain't like him...
[Action]
[Action]
I just wanna know why. The shit I've been told makes no sense. That 'why' ain't good enough.
[Action]
[Action]
We're supposed to be a team. That's... none of that's right.
[He sighed quietly. He looked up to Yu... was he now wrong in doing so?]
[Action]
[Action]
[But knowing she might need to go back out there soon, he shut his eyes and nuzzled.]
I guess for now... don't sweat it. Wreckin' this guy's shit comes first, yeah?
[Action]
Yes. I have to go out to help the other ponies.
[Action]
I don't- I don't needta tell ya to stay safe, do I? ...C-can I say it anyway?
[Action]
[She knows he would worry otherwise.]
[Action]
If ya find out anything else, whether it's Tirek or... well, Senpai... lemme know, yeah?
Be safe. Keep a vice grip on Yamato Sumeragi.
[The smile was tired, but he did his best to keep it true. Magic was magic, but in his case, a piece of his soul was missing. In his core he was empty, so there was very little he could do. It was up to everyone else now.]
[Action]
And don't worry about Yamato-Sumeragi. If I lose them, Tirek wouldn't have an easy time trying to control them.
[She gave him several more nuzzles before stepping back. Turning, she headed off.]
[Action]
[It got him thinking about just how much hell Takeji Zaiten must be giving Tirek now. It was enough to placate him. He watched her go, and felt something sinking in his gut. She was very, very rarely wrong... he couldn't recall a time when she ever was.]
[They were getting double-crossed... and he was going to want answers once everything was over. He wanted to know just to what depths his trust was misplaced.]
