2nd Idea [Accidental Visual]
[With everything settling back down again, it should be the best time to relax. But it apparently was the opposite for Tadashi, who could be seen pacing around his room at the commune. His tail flicked with every turn, and the expression on his face was more agitated and troubled than normal for those who had seen him before.
Another passing turn had him pausing, finally noticing the scroll was open. And for a moment he almost seemed to glare at it, his hardened expression persisting as he debated whether to simply roll it up.
But it only lasted a moment before his expression softened, and he managed a small, if somewhat weary smile.]
Anyone feel like grabbing a drink?
...Or taking a walk. Or...something.
[It just seemed like he could use the company.]

[Visual --> Action]
[With that, he'll roll up the scroll and get ready to head out, showing up a few minutes later at the bridge to look for her.]
[Action]
Apparently she'd been passing the time waiting by skipping stones into the river below...with stones that were entirely too large for the average pony to skip judging by the couple she still had remaining and the SPLOOSH that accompanied her latest toss.
Her ears perked up as Tadashi approached and she looked over to greet him with a cheering smile.]
Hey there.
[Action]
Hey...
[Action]
[She off-handedly pushes the rest of the rocks she had left into the river with a KER-PLOOSH, stepping down away from the parapet with an expectant smile.]
And the training grounds have some targets and practice dummies if you've got some energy you want to work off.
[Action]
Not sure about that, but I'll give it a try anyway.
[Action]
Great! Let's go.
[She turns and starts trotting off.
Truthfully, if she'd wanted to practice, she could have just as easily gone to the dojo in the Night Market.
But the training grounds by Everfree were less restrictive seeing as they were outside and often fairly private. So whatever was bothering Tadashi, maybe he'd feel more inclined to talk about it out there.]
[Action]
[Action]
Soon enough, they'd come upon a clearing set slightly into the woods so that trees lined some of the border. A fence had been set up around the perimeter and while it was possible neither of them were able to really see or feel it, a magical barrier domed the grounds so that no loose shots could accidentally fly into town. ...That'd likely come in handy given who was going to be using it today.]
This is it.
[You know, just in case Tadashi wasn't sure.]
[Action]
He glanced around the field as stepped forward.] Nice.
[Action]
[She gives a small smile, trotting forward as well and the bracelets on her forelegs whir into life, clicking and clanking as they expand into a pair of gauntlets.]
The equipment isn't as good as the stuff I trained with back home, but it'll do.
[Action]
[He'd heard about some pretty stylized weapons before, but...]
[Action]
What? This? You knew I fought monsters back home, right?
[Of course, she knew very well that he probably did. Just that Tadashi hadn't seen the kind of weaponry she used to do it.]
[Action]
[He's already curious about how they work.]
[Action]
She turns back to face him, alternating which foreleg she has held up, each gauntlet shining brightly in the sunlight.]
They're Dual Ranged Shot Gauntlets, custom build by yours truly.
[Likely with some help obviously, but Tadashi didn't need to know that. Her sister might have been the weaponry fanatic but that didn't mean Yang couldn't take pride in Ember Celica.]
[Action]
[He approached carefully, looking at the gauntlets curiously.]
How do they work?
[Action]
The Dust cartridges I use are set in there, 12 rounds each. The muzzle's right here towards the side edge. Usually that'd rest just above my knuckles but- [A pause for a small laugh and a shrug.] -don't have those here.
[She pumped her foreleg back, the gauntlet making a click like a gun being primed.]
And when I want to fire 'em...
[Her grin quirked and she leaped effortlessly into the air in a slight back-flip, righting herself in mid-air and rearing a front hoof back at the apex of her jump. As she descended on one of the large hay-bale dummy targets, she punched the hoof down just as she reached it, her gauntlet firing off a shot as she landed and blowing the hay-bale to bits.
Standing in the center of a smoldering ring of grass, burning pieces of hay raining down around her, Yang looked up with a small smirk.]
...look out.
[It's always cooler to show than to tell, right?]
[Action]
Bracing himself from the shockwave of her blow, he let out a low whistle.]
Wow.
[Action]
And they're pretty versatile in combat. I can fire shots from a distance with them if I need to.
[With a shout, she twisted around, punching a flare shot for an archery target several yards away, hitting the bulls-eye dead center before the target itself exploded.
She glanced back towards Tadashi with the same smirk as before on her face.]
Personally I prefer fighting up close and personally though.
[She turned and charged forward, launching a hoof for a wooden practice dummy nearby and utterly shattering it with three well-placed jabs from her front hooves, the third accompanied by another explosive round from her gauntlets, completely blowing it apart.
Landing down on all fours again, she tossed her head back with a confident grin, flicking her blonde mane back into place.]
[Action]
Oh man....That's incredible.
[Action]
Thank you.
[Feeling pretty good now that she'd blown a few things up, she trotted back over to him with a coy smile.]
So, do you wanna give some of this a try too or just watch me have all the fun?
[...She was referring to the training grounds equipment, of course.]
[Action]
...Actually, I think I'm okay...
[Admittedly, he was having more fun watching her than thinking of doing it himself.]
[Action]
Suit yourself.
[Turning back towards the grounds, she half-charged, half-flipped herself at another wooden practice dummy, twisting and sweeping her front half down low so that she could kick it with a back hoof. Shifting her weight, she jumped up, hitting it with a roundhouse from her other hoof and then moving in close to strike it with the broadside of one of her gauntlets.
Given the way the dummy cracked and shook with each blow, it didn't look like she was holding back much with her attacks but she wasn't discharging any shots from her gauntlets this time either.
...This stuff wasn't exactly hers to keep blowing up after all.]
You're looking a little better than you did earlier.
[Apparently, even if he was just going to watch her practice, that wouldn't keep her from trying to hold a conversation.]
[Action]
Yeah...well, to be honest, I've really been interested in the technology of other worlds, so it's cool to get to see some in action.
And... [His smile might fade a bit here, but only briefly.] I was actually thinking that my brother might like to see this...It's...kind of a thing he's got going right now.
[Actually, while he knows it's not the weapons themselves that Hiro's into, he had no doubt that Hiro would be impressed anyway.]
[Action]
Oh right! Your brother the robot fighter?
[A wry grin was sent Tadashi's way at that. She knew he'd been trying to persuade his little brother away from hustling gangs with illegal bot fights before he was brought here, but the kid's gumption still amused her.]
[Action]
Actually, I heard he's more into the...superhero business these days.
