Thirteenth Scale - Visual

[Oh look, it's a little dumb dragon in a big dumb hardhat, a set of blueprints rolled up under his arm.]

So yeah I get that the last several weeks - hey, lets call it, the last month - has sucked pretty bad, but you know what doesn't suck really bad?

Video games~

See, since there's a lot of dumb, empty land around the place, we're taking some of that dumb empty land outside town and making it awesome by putting an arcade there. It should be up and running by this time next month, but hey since this place is lame and not like there's much else to do...

You can come and test some of the machines my boys and I made so far. You know. Get a chance to play a few games for free. I'm a pretty nice guy, so I think I can spare that for you, cause you'll be coming back when it opens in proper next month.

Though if you're gonna send a few bits my way, hey, I don't mind.

And they are to have been finished already?

Uh, yeah? Like I said, I have some ready already. Wouldn't be good business to lie about what I've got.

The Great and Powerful Trixie demands to know where said arcade machines are located.

.....Nah.

And why ever not? It seems absurd you would go out of your way to announce this then not tell anypony where it is.

Unless you were lying about having created them?

Well, for one I announced where it was: just outside town. Gonna be hard to miss the construction site. Anyone can come.

Except you though. I'll be having my boys kick out any troublemakers that come along.

[Yes, but where exactly outside town? it would be much easier to just say southeast or northeast so Trixie doesn't have to go searching for it on her own. But whatever. He wants to do it that way? Fine with her.]

...And if The Great and Powerful Trixie were to offer you money?

[He thinks on that for a moment, because really? That is super tempting. It's not like he's usually one to turn down a bribe. But he's thinking on it.]

So why exactly do you wanna see what I have so badly, then?

[Well... Skyfire has been telling her to go have more fun and relaxation...]

The Great and Powerful Trixie is a native pony. An outsider like you could attract more business if somepony like me were to be seen within the confines of your arcade game area.

'Twould also have the bonus of Trixie's fame gathering up attention of other newponies much easier. It would be of great service to you.

[Kind of a bull answer, but Trixie also believes there's some truth to that.]

[Wow. That's...a dilemma.

Truth be told he wants to keep as many people away from the arcade as possible when it does go up in order to keep Giegue's powers as small as possible. At the same time, he can't just immediately handicap everything, or look like he is, or Giegue will immediately get wise to what's happening.]

Eh. Sure. You're in. Just don't cause trouble and cut the attitude crap with me and we'll be fine.

[Trixie's attitude is perfectly fine, thank you very much.

...Except for the ego.]

As you wish! Trixie shall explore the contents that you have created as soon as she traverses over there!

[She then closes up her scroll and starts heading on over to search for the arcade.]

[It isn't hard to spot. For having started today, the construction of the arcade is already going pretty well, though still just foundational work so far, the skeleton of a building. Running around it are several small pink creatures wearing hard hats as they somehow put the arcade together.

Pokey himself is just kind of watching it, because really, that's just what you do when you oversee a project. Watch as everyone else works themselves to death.

Still, he turns to Trixie and shrugs as she walks up.]

Hey, look at that! I knew you could do it.

[Trixie looks around as the little... things go about their business. She expected an arcade, not an arcade and... whatever those things are.]

Er... What exactly are these.. small things?

[They're weird. Do they come from The Everfree or something?]

They're Mr. Saturns. They look dumb, but they're great at building junk and they work for cheap.

What, you think they're going to bite you or something?

Not at all. They just seem a bit odd. Trixie wonders if they hail from The Everfree. She has never encountered Such a creature before.

Nope, they're from back home...or where I was supposed to have been from, whatever. I made some when I got here to act as, like, servants and junk, but I ended up making more when I needed this done.

Worked out even better than I hoped.

[So they're... made. Couldn't he have made something more... normal? AT least make some servants made out of trees or rocks or something. This? This is bizarre. Trixie would ask how they work, but she;s not that curious.

Just a little perplexed at them.]

Trixie... sees.

Anyway, she dismisses them from her thoughts and walks up to a machine, looking it over and telekinetically floating a few bits over to Pokey.]
