Thirteenth Scale - Visual
[Oh look, it's a little dumb dragon in a big dumb hardhat, a set of blueprints rolled up under his arm.]
So yeah I get that the last several weeks - hey, lets call it, the last month - has sucked pretty bad, but you know what doesn't suck really bad?
Video games~
See, since there's a lot of dumb, empty land around the place, we're taking some of that dumb empty land outside town and making it awesome by putting an arcade there. It should be up and running by this time next month, but hey since this place is lame and not like there's much else to do...
You can come and test some of the machines my boys and I made so far. You know. Get a chance to play a few games for free. I'm a pretty nice guy, so I think I can spare that for you, cause you'll be coming back when it opens in proper next month.
Though if you're gonna send a few bits my way, hey, I don't mind.

And yeah. I have Pong, since you seemed so hung up on it last time we talked about games.
[Not that he made a Pong cabinet just for you Teddie. Pong would probably blow most of the dumb horses here's minds.
Though hey, it was a little for you but not like he'll say that.][Visual]
Aw shucks, you didn't have to do that for lil ol' me~
[He would've just cried until he did anyway.]
I'll be there bearfore you know it! Just don't start without me~
[Visual]
Then I'm giving your Pong machine away to this family of beavers near the river.
[Visual]
[He jumps.]
N-Noooo! Beavers could never appreciate the pure joy that is Pong!
[And with that, he rolls up the scroll.]
[Visual]=>[Action]
Pokey too is doing something very important in overseeing them. And by overseeing them, I mean that Pokey is just kind of drinking a soda and watching as the little pink creatures do their work.
Still, he turns as Teddie comes up.]
Wow you juuuust beat the clock. It's going to break those beavers hearts knowing they're not getting a Pong machine, but I guess you did get here first.
[Action]
G-Good! Beavers are just flat-tailed bear impostors anyhow.
[Who do they even think they are?! Although he can't say he sees any here, instead all he can see is a bunch of weird tiny creatures, which grab his attention almost immediately.]
Woah! I like your little grandpas...
[Action]
Hey, what do you know! Even you have folks you don't like, huh? I knew you could do it bear.
[He knew you could be angry at beavers for whatever reason you are.
Pokey looks at the Mr. Saturns as they scramble around, doing their work and other assorted shenanigans.]
They're not little grandpas, they're Mr. Saturns and they-Okay, fine, they look like little grandpas but really-
[Which is when a bell goes off in the area. And by a bell, what's actually meant is that one of the Mr. Saturns sitting on top of the beams is vibrating and somehow giving off a ringing sound. All the other Saturns, meanwhile, stop what they were doing and begin to run around, gathering materials and, for all intents and purposes, seemingly building a table and chairs quickly.
One of the Mr. Saturns runs up to Teddie, a small wrapped bundle on his head smelling faintly of peanut butter and jelly.]
HI Hi hi. Is LUnch tIme, YOU HAvE lunCh TOO?
[Action]
Well, I already ate, b-but I wouldn't mind if you shaaaaaared~
[One of his paws delicately reaches over for that bundle, revealing the bit of drool dripping from his mouth. That smell is driving him crazy.]
Man, Pokey, your army is really cool! ...Almost as cool as my roachies.
[Action]
Pokey puts his hands behind his head, closing his eyes a bit.]
Yeah, I know. They're pretty sweet. Kind of dumb looking, but you know, can't have it all.
Your what? You have, like, what, a cockroach collection or something?
[Action]
[Because apparently he speaks roach or something.]
But it's kinda cool how we keep having similar things, huh?
[Action]
[He's only just barely listening at the moment. He squints a little at Teddie, thinking.]
So when you say an army...just how many do you have?
[Action]
Oh, you know, enough to take on a giant horsey-mermaid~
[He...he means a centaur.]
Are you bearhaps...jealous?
[Action]
[And he actually isn't, though he has to admit that what Teddie just described is amazing and hysterical. But still, that many cockroaches...]
...Hey Teddie. Think you and I need to talk about something quick.
[Action]
I'm all ears~
...And fur. ...And a whole bunch of other stuff.
[You know, that saying never did make much sense to him.]
Re: [Action]
He'd maybe smile at the big dumb nerd doing nerd things if it weren't for the fact this wasn't going to be a totally happy conversation.]
So, you remember George, the white rat you met a little while back? Well.
George...isn't a nice guy Teddie. And if given a chance? He'd do a lot of bad things to a lot of people here. But I haven't wanted to, you know...tell on him because I wanted to give him a chance to change.
He hasn't. And I still don't want to screw him over entirely. So I'm doing what you do to any psycho animal: I'm putting him in a cage.
[He points over to the arcade's foundations, the Mr. Saturns eating their lunch inside the barely built skeleton of it.]
That's kind of what that is. But in order to fully make it work? I'm not going to be able to do it alone.
So I might need the help of you and your roach brigade.
[Action]
When he's finally finished, Teddie can only gasp.]
You're grounding him!
[It was the easiest thing he could think of, in terms of making sense of all this.]
But...I don't get it. Why would you need roachies for something like that?
Re: [Action]
[He waves a hand in front of Teddie, as if to stress the point. The thought never really crosses his mind as this insulting Teddie; he just expects the bear will believe him on it.]
But as brilliant as my plans are to do that - and trust me, they're brilliant - there's still a chance things could go bad. And if that happens?
I need your roaches to swarm the place and....do roach things, I guess. Teddie, what do you think most people think of roaches?
[Action]
Well normally they don't like 'em that much. Which is weird, right? All they do is crawl around...
[Action]
[He's throwing you a ball here, Teddie. Lets see if you catch it.]
