Sleeping in the streets, honestly...

[Not quite new, Kafei is in fact no stranger to Equestria. That's why if anyone spots an unfamiliar tiny fox sulking about town and not freaking out, that's probably why. ...In fact, that's definitely why, he acts as though he never left at all! Instead he appears much more upset over the dirt that accumulated on his clothing thanks to waking up outside of all places, mumbling to himself under his breath. You know, he tries his hardest not to blackout, and then this happens? He can't even remember last night...

Which reminds him, he might as well make a quick scroll message. Kafei can't even bring himself to look into the thing, huffing and puffing his way along town.]

If I damaged any of your property, I apologize.

[...And that's it. That's all he says. Why he'd ever damage anyone's stuff to begin with will forever be a mystery, but apparently he felt it was important enough to bring up.]

[She moves her scroll a bit closer, trying to look around him to see where he was.]

[Okay, maybe that isn't the best answer... He tries a little harder.]

Near the shops. I'm sure you recall the strange store that sells both furniture and quills.

[Ah, of course.]

[And she is, very quickly. Have an earth pony running full speed toward you, Kafei, before quickly sweeping you into her forelegs. As she cuddles him close, he might even feel something drip on his forehead.]

Oh my god... Dad, I... I'm so glad you're here again...

[The sound of hooves heading his way causes his fur to bristle defensively, but nothing prepares him for the following scooping. It happens so fast, he can't even find the time to complain about it as Feena begins to hold him. Why, why'd it have to be so fast? Drunk or not, he still feels like he has a hangover, and the swift moments do nothing for his head.]

Feena...you may have slipped there.

[Headache or not, don't think he didn't hear that. Even after two months, he's still not used to that just yet.]

I didn't slip anything. I meant it.

[Just... give her a moment to just bury her face into your head and cuddle, Kafei. She loves you.]

I missed you... so much.

[There's a long exhale through his nose as she does so, ears flopping back pathetically as he mentally admits defeat. It's not like he can complain about something like affection. It goes against everything he stands for.]

Yes, well... if you went missing for two months, I'd miss you, too.

[Still doesn't feel that long, so he can't share the sentiment. Still, he tried.]

[You little asshole. Can't you just pretend that you missed her? With a sniff, she pulls him away from her, just holding him out so she can look him over.]

...How are you feeling?

[....don't you think that was something you should have asked him earlier???]

I'm very tired.

[He says as he just dangles there.]

I never realized sleeping for two months straight would be so draining.

[Feena blinks, giving him a blank expression. Then all of a sudden Kafei will find himself being flung onto her back.]

Then you can rest. I'm taking you to my house, okay?

[Well if there's anything he really enjoys, it's being flung around like a rag doll. Oh wait no, that's terrifying. At least there's a nice Feena back to land on, but a little warning next time!]

I- Of course! Why would I ever have a problem with that?

Didn't think you would. But it's not like I gave you much choice anyway.

I see, so this is a kidnapping.

[At least she's honest about it.]

[In which Kafei is trying to joke.]

[For a moment, Feena is just quiet. Is... is Kafei actually... trying to joke? After her moment of silence, she finally chuckles.

Kafei, you're a nut.

[But then she's suddenly serious.]

We have a lot to talk about. A couple of things have happened since you left.

[He used to be fun, just don't expect it too often.]

Nothing appears to have changed, so it couldn't have been too chaotic while I was...out.

[I dunno, to her things felt chaotic.]

Well... of course you remember what happened... you know, between Strong Bad and I.

I can't say it's something I think back on fondly.

[Speaking of, he's glad to see Feena out of her room.]

We're talking again. [She says with a bright smile, though after a moment it fades into more of a sheepish one.] It... took a long time, I know. We didn't talk until he showed up at the hospital after my trip into the Everfree.

[Welp. Here we go.]

That's fantastic, Feena. Even if it did take forever, I'm just happy to hear everything turned out okay in the end.

Um, what is a hospital again...?

[Here we go indeed.]

A-are you serious? Um... it's... like a clinic, but bigger. You do know what a clinic is, right?

[There's some silence on his end. Clock Town was ahead of its game, but it wasn't that ahead...]

Um...well...

[At that, Feena stops, trying to turn her head to look at him, and her jaw is slack in shock. She really can't believe this. They seriously don't have clinics where he's from?

She debates on asking if he's joking, but, well... if he's not that would probably make him feel embarrassed and dumb. So she'll just explain.]

It's a place where people go when they get hurt or sick, to get better.

[Doesn't anyone know what a house call is? Gosh...

Kafei nods his head, in only partial understanding, until it finally dawns on him that Feena probably needed a reason to go to one of these places. Cue understandable rage.]

W-What?! And just who hurt you?!

A lot of things. [A lot of creepy, terrifying things she didn't even know existed.] I went into the Everfree with some friends. Well, went in with them once, and then decided to head back in by myself to look for something.

[Her voice then takes on a more solemn tone.]

...At a price. My friend Yuko went in to go looking for me and got me out of there. Barely made it out. She and I were... both pretty torn up.
