2nd Mission: Ponymonium or Pony Rights

(~~Special Agent Sweetie Drops~~ Bon Bon's heard about Shanks and his crazed -that's right, crazed- shenanigans concerning Ponyville and the Communes. One of her workers used to live there after all, so what does one Earth pony -who's technically an off-worlder but resides in the house of a native pony- do to show that the off-worlders have a place in their world?

Convince them to RISE UP! Rise up and protest, and she'll totes blend in!

That's why for the past 4-5 days, ever since his little announcement, Bon Bon's slipped into the background whenever possible and done her best to get support from other ponies. The fated day hasn't arrived yet, but when it does quite a number of ponies will be standing in front of the Communes! ~~They're even doing this now, in preparation for when the day arrives.~~

On four hooves, or if a certain BFF decides to join in, walking on her two back hooves! Marching around in a circle! Holding picket signs that say various phrases like HAYBALES NO! SHANKS MUST GO!, SHANKS IS A MEANIE!, DOWN WITH SHANKS BUSINESS, HIT SHANKS WITH DAY-OLD MUFFINS and ASSAULT SHANKS WITH CAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!)

Okay, everypony! Ready? ♪Shanks' big talk is one huge bore! He's simply rotten to the core!
Run him outta town so he won't come back, 'cause Ponyville won't put up with your smack!♪♪

[Daring Do was gonna fly by, but just stops and sighs.

And this whole thing has just gone out of hoof.

[She lands and walks on over to Bon Bon.]

You really care about this place, don't you?

(Ooh, Daring Do! Bon Bon nods, having heard the Pegasus had arrived sometime before she was brought here.)

It's a part of Ponyville, even if it doesn't exist back in my Equestria. Plus, one of my workers used to live here for a while with her sister. So, precious memories are also here too.

Oh. I've never really been big in Ponyville. My home's in Canterlot, my Canterlot, where I teach Archaeology to my students in between going into delves into ancient ruins.

I'm Daring Do. You are...?

I've heard of you! my best friend has some of your books back in my Ponyville so I read 'em from time to time, and I've been to Canterlot every now and then; it's a fantastic city to live in.

Bon Bon! It's nice to meet you. (She holds out a hoof to shake.)

[Daring Do rolls her eyes at the mention of those books, but its gotten to the point where it doesn't bother her that much anymore.

Daring shakes Bon Bon's hoof.]

Nice to meet you, too. Yeah, Canterlot's nearly as awesome as the awesome parts of archaeology. I've lived there for most of my life along with Derring and Darrin. Heard of Canterlot University? Maybe you could sign up sometime.

Ahh, friends of yours? They must be pretty cool if you've known them for a long time! Yeah, I've been by the school now and then back home but I haven't been to Canterlot University in a few years.

Brother and sister, actually. Darrin's my younger brother and Derring's my older sister. Yeah, they're cool if you get to know them. Derring especially, since...

[Daring trails off and shakes her head a little. Best not to discuss THAT stuff right now.]

I'm thinking about getting a job there in this Equestria. You know, to help pass the time as I try and figure out a way back to my own Equestria.

Ohh, your siblings. It's cool to get along with family.

(She notices that Daring goes silent and nods briefly. If there's something personal she wants to keep secret, Bon Bon's not gonna pry.)

That would be a switch-up. I've heard that when you get here most ponies try to get a job in Ponyville, but if you're able to get a job in Canterlot you'd be the first pony to show up here but get a job in another city!

I don't usually follow the normal stuff. A few of my coworkers can handle all of that stuff.

So anyway... What's all this about Shanks? Is it just this whole buying the farm stuff, or something more?

(Bon Bon laughs lightly at her earlier comment before sighing briefly and getting serious.)

I think he's desperate to get back some credibility in Equestria after a few recent events left him nearly bankrupt. So he came up with this whole idea to purchase the farm here in Ponyville and try to push his idea of a theme park. It might be his last shot, it might not.

Wait, if he's nearly bankrupt, then... Wouldn't just nobody going to his new theme park end him? If he's lost all credibility, then I don't see how people would take his theme park seriously.

True, but I think he believes young, innocent foals would want to come to a theme park especially since most of the bigger ones like Whinnyworld are all the way in Applewood. Going there's like taking a road trip all across Equestria.

Well... There's always going anti-Nagridge and allowing Discord free reign there.

Hehehe, better the Discord we know than the pony we don't know?

(Even though they're both from different Equestrias, Daring and Bon Bon know of Discord. Shanks, however? Native only to this specific Equestria.)

Weeeell... the Discord I know would've turned all of Equestria into chaostown three seconds after being released and kept it that way, but that's beside the point. Lemme say yes anyway.

Hehe, of course! Let me guess: Fluttershy never befriended the Discord from your world?

I've never even heard of Fluttershy before coming to this Equestria before.

Really? Wow, guess you never met with Twilight Sparkle and her friends back at home either.

Oh, no I've met Princess Twilight. I've never seen her friends aside from the other Princesses, though.

[So Daring Do's world might be a bit weird.]

Ohhh...! In that case, you'll be really surprised if you run into another Pegasus here.

(She may have already run into a Rainbow Dash here, or not.)

[Daring's going to assume it's a specific Pegasus.]

Really? What's his name?

...Hmm? Heh, I can see where you'd be mistaken. Her name is Rainbow Dash. You might've seen a couple versions of her flying around here and taking care of the clouds?

Wait, Rainbow Dash and Princess Twilight are friends? Huh. Rainbow never told me that when she went on that one adventure with me against Ahui. Huh. Never knew they'd be friends.

I've seen her around, yeah, but never really talked to her all that much in this Equestria. Been too busy trying to figure out a way back to mine... But I really haven't made any progress whatsoever on that.

Yeah, they're best friends! I thought that's something she would've let you know about.

Yeah...you'll probably be at that for a long while since so far it seems like the only way we can go home is if we're allowed to. And most of the time you can't say goodbye to the friends you've made here.

Everyone's going to give me an earful when I finally get back. It sucks.

[Daring Do sighs.]

I might as well just preoccupy myself here with the job in Canterlot.

Hmm...I don't think anypony will notice you've been gone. Trust me on this; I've read similar stories where other mares and stallions like us were pulled into another world. Time's frozen in someway back home so when we get back it'll be like we never left.

...I think that's how it's supposed to go down. (Bon Bon smiles sheepishly.) Let me know if you're able to get it, okay? I should still have some connections in Canterlot, especially if the me who lives here knows the same ponies I do back home.

[Applejack's been throwing her back into the efforts all week. She privately has her doubts about this, but...hey, desperation might make this necessary. She just laughs and pushes some food their way.]

You'll lose your voices on an empty stomach, y'know.

(Applejack! Bon Bon smiles gratefully at the other Earth pony while digging into the food she'd offered.)

Thanks, AJ. Been doing your part to make sure we don't lose the Communes to that nasty Shanks?

Yup! Dirtying my hooves wherever they're needed---we've got a Sweet Apple sale going on, but I've been helping with anything I can---especially anything that'll rake in the bits quick.

I will. But for now...you need a hoof making some noise?

(She beams excitedly while finishing off her food, knowing Applejack would be a fantastic hoof to the cause!)

[She'll pick one up and try it.]

(She giggles a bit, though it's a good first try! The words are off but AJ's loud and that's what's important.)

Yeah, that's it! You kinda have the words mixed up a bit. We're trying to get Shanks to go and leave Ponyville, like when those Flim Flam brothers came around with that awful-tasting cider? Instead of saying 'we won't go,' which is usually what somepony would say, we'll say 'Shanks must go!'

"Oh...oh right! Uh. Shanks must go!"

[That's it, right? Hopefully? She'll try stomping too.]
