 [It's been awhile since Nephenee's posted, but she's been busy. She had gone exploring for awhile since the heat was too much to even think of planting, but after coming back in time for the race, she's beenhard at work tilling and weeding and planting the short growing vegetables before winter sets in. She's done for the day, so she flops down on her bed in her room, and, realizing she hasn't said anything much to people lately, she opens the magical scroll. Have a slightly dirty looking (okay more than slightly dirty, she's got a leaf or two in her hair, which is singed in places), but happy seeming teal haired pony.]

Wow, sure been awhile since ah used this here scroll thingamajig. Ah've been real busy though. Went explorin' for a bit, then ah got ta work on the farm. If it goes as planned we should have some good crops coming in soon...

From what ah can tell, we've got some new folks, too. So ah guess ah should introduce mahself. Mah name's Nephenee, and ah live down here at the commune. 

[Uhhhhh what else should she say...trying to be more personable is hard...

Yeah, she's kind of got nothing. Well uh...the weather's a safe topic right?]

So uh, the leaves sure are all over the place. Gettin' cool too. Ain't too much different than home, ah suppose.

Ah, the crispness of an autumn afternoon. Charming, isn't it?

It reminds me quite a bit of home, now that I think about it. Hard to keep from getting homesick when you find reminders like these around every corner.

[She has to keep herself from looking really shocked at the new pony, especially by the eyes...it was like peering into never-ending tunnels of darkness. But he seems nice enough. Not that her first impressions were always right. She smiles.]

Sure is. If Ah were back home, mah siblin's would be gathering leaves ta burn, but we'd hop in 'em first.

[For a moment, she even remembers when her father was alive...he would have jumped in right with them. But she pushes it away for now. She shouldn't be sad when talking to someone new.]

Back home it's nearly time for the big harvests, too.

This is the first time I've ever really seen fall. The city I lived in before this didn't have very many trees.

[To be fair, if you got into Melior proper, there weren't so many tees, but she also lived in a forested area inside the walls.]

Have ya gotten ta try any of that yummy cider they've got here? It's not as good as back home ta me, but it's still like drinking fall ina mug.]

Master Otenko! Good ta see ya again! Ah'm glad they're similar. Not sure Ah'd like it being one season all year 'round; it makes it easier ta plan the harvests too.

Um...there was a fire in the commune not long ago, and ah helped put it out. Mah hair got a bit burnt though. The leaves? [She pulls one from her hair] That musta got caught in it when ah was workin' today.

Yeah...thanks ta some of the pegasi an' magic users, it got put out fairly quick. But we still lost about 3 buildin's. Sir Bertie lost his buildin', but he got a new one. But that was the worst ah've seen in a long while...and thanks. Ah'm glad ah only got that too. It was a bit scary. Ah think ah might have ta cut it, though.

Oh, it was a bad lightin' storm. Clear lit some dry wood on fire! But Sir Bertie alerted us right quick.

[BS attempt successful! Good thing he's pretty much Easy Mode as far as that's concerned, and it sounds plausible enough.]

[Thinking...thinking...okay yeah, he didn't think he or Pteragordon had any accidents in that regard lately. Not their fault!]

Ah, those can be quite dangerous indeed. It is fortunate you were alerted quickly before the problem could worsen.

Yep! It's getting to be the season of pumpkin! So. Much. Pumpkin.

[She squeals and prances a little in excitement.]

Or hot chocolate, if you like that better!

Pumpkin is great ina bunch of recipes! If ya keep 'em closed they keep for a bit, too. More if ya put em in a cellar.

Oh, that reminds me, Miss Pinkie! Uh, Ah was talkin' with Sirs 21 and 24, and they were talkin' 'bout somethin' called chocolate, and since Ah didn't know what it was, they said ta talk to ya. So what is it?

YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT CHOCOLATE IS?

[And then Pinkie leaped from a nearby bush, tree, or whatever happens to be nearest to Nephenee and grabbed the other mare, dragging her down the road towards Sugarcube Corner. Again. This seemed to happen a LOT, maybe she should just feed her everything in the bakery this time to make sure!]

CHOCOLATE TRAIN AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

[..Oh dear. Well, maybe she'll knock at the door like a normal po-THEN SUDDENLY TREE!PINKIE GRABS HER FROM OUTSIDE THE WINDOW.]

[And so she gets dragged along back to the bakery. Again.]

Arriving at the bakery, she lets go of Nephenee when they're in the kitchen and starts pulling things out of the fridge and drawers.]

We're gonna make SO MUCH CHOCOLATE stuff, you have no idea! Here, this is just plain old chocolate! [Have a chocolate bar, Neph.]

[Neph brushed herself off by the door before walking over to the sink to wash her hooves.]

Ya should really warn a gal 'fore ya- [Oh hi, funny looking wrapped item. She'll slowly unwrap you.] drag her off...[Funny look at brown bar is go.]

[Pinkie leans close and watches her eagerly.]
