[After struggling to figure out how the hell she can write on the parchment with no thumbs and without getting bits of feather from the quill stuck in her mouth, Liz has figured out that there is in fact a way to get video on these things. She's seen others do it by now but she supposes now she's figured out how to do it herself.

That done, she looks at the scroll with a serious, concerned expression.]

My name is Iron Liz. I'm new here, though I guess that's not news anymore. I...wanted to ask something, you know, out in the open.

Has anypony heard of a place called Kon Ran? I've heard the name a few times around, from ponies who claimed they knew me there, but I know nothing about it. If I was supposedly there, I guess I should figure out who else might know me from some crazy trip. Write me back with any information you might have, please.

[She starts to dismiss the video spell, but pauses, looking back at the scroll with a lighter expression]

Oh, and what might you ponies have around here in the realm of tabletop gaming?

What? Did I miss that episode or something?

[Shrug] I was actually there past few years, I guess I just got a look at the inner workings. We couldn't even find the darn thing for a while anyway.

So like, you worked on the show or something?

Ha! I wish. The Twin-Screw Universal Controller zapped me up there with a bunch of others, kinda like we were here.

Okay you know what, if it weren't for the fact that we ended up here, I'd think you were crazy.

So was it real? Like... really real?

Oh man. Was it awesome? Or were you forced to watch old B-movies constantly?

Well for us it was actually books. Twilight, Eye of Argon, stuff like that. But other than that it was pretty darn awesome. Did you know that old dogbone was big enough for a pool?

Books? But how could they gauge your reactions to it? I mean, that was that was sort of the point of him being on the ship in the first place. How could they even make sure you read the book?

Oh it was still recorded. Reading off a movie screen is a little rough on the eyes but it's still fun.

Wow. That does sound pretty rough. Did you get to watch it alone or in an audience? Who decided how fast the words moved?

There were a bunch of us, we all rotated out. As for the speed...[she hadn't really thought too much about how that worked actually.] Rule of Funny, I guess.

Wow. That sounds pretty hellish. So, were the books all bad, or were they funny-bad?

Also, were the bots there? Or did you get to build your own?

Well, Eye of Argon is always good for a laugh at least.

Now that would have been awesome. But nope, they were all there. Lived right next to Crow and Servo, in fact. And the Cambots. You wouldn't think there were so many Cambots!

[She kinda misses those little guys...]

Yeah, but the greatest thing about that story is reading it with others, doing the nerdiest version of chicken that ever. Reading it off a screen sounds so cold and impersonal.

Seriously? Maybe they made more for the other people on the ship, because I remember there was only one. ... Okay well, one at a time anyway.

Eh, we made it work. At the expense of my cohorts' sanity, but hey.

I think the old dogbone was the predecessor to the TARDIS. We all fit pretty snugly.

Yeah, y'know, from Doctor Who?

Oh. I've heard of it, but I've never actually seen it.

I'm kind of overexposed to it in my family, heh.
