First Script: Hangin' Out at the Corner
After a quick stop at the bank to exchange her Cerilian currency to something more Equestrian, Maebhrin spent a short time wandering around town to take in the sights. It seemed like a nice place, though there were one or two places that she mistook for inns, which made cause for apologies to the residents...
In truth, it didn't take her very long to figure out exactly where Sugarcube Corner was, although she was rather slow about poking her head in--there were certainly enough other ponies there to make sure business was hopping, and she didn't intend to be a bother to anyone.
At least it was a popular place, and Pinkie wouldn't be out of a job any time soon, right?
After talking to herself for a few moments (mostly to get up her courage around so many others), Mae stepped in, and took her place in the line. It was either shorter than she'd imagined, or Pinkie was a marvel of efficiency, for it took no time at all for the former elf to find herself face to face with the pink pony.
"Well met. One welcome cupcake, if you please? So is this a confectionary?" Maebhrin asked, taking in the atmosphere--and the oh-so-pleasant smells that threatened to make her stomach grumble.
Maybe she'd pick up some cupcakes for the other ponies in training, now that she had proper currency. Though she wasn't entirely sure how she'd manage to get them there...
(ooc: she'll probably be here for a while, feel free to run into Mae if you like!)

"So, if you are free now, I am as well. I could always come back before training to get cupcakes for my compatriots there. Shall we go shopping?"

This should be an adventure, at the very least.

"Forgive me if I am slow. Then again, I certainly would not mind if you would point out interesting landmarks to me. If you feel like it, of course..."
It seemed like Pinkie was the sort to do that anyway, but Maebhrin figured an invitation would do just as well.

"Ponyville has a mayor?" That was good to know, too. "Where are we going to end up?"

She glanced down at her own unshod hoof, then back over to the store.
"Well, I suppose if they are a necessity...I fear I haven't got much in the way of coin. Exchange rates between Cerilia and Equestria are feeble at best." Good for heading to Cerilia, bad for the other way around.

Maebhrin shook her head. "Thinking out loud, again, of course. So, are the saddlebags utilitarian? Or are there a variety of colors and so forth? I admit that I'm partial to green."

"There's a lot of decorative saddlebags, and you can even have them personalized with your own cutie mark. It doesn't take much, just an hour to stitch them on. Our people are really good." Pinkie grinned as she indicated hers with the balloons on them.

Well, it was something to practice.
"Hm. Maybe I should get another color, or something darker, and then have them stitch it on in green. Or perhaps pink. I am rather fond of pink..." Though the flower in her hair was likely wilted by now, she still kept it until she could pick a new one.

At that, Pinkie drooled. "Frosting~"

"My outfit was very boring, I suppose, but I was not really supposed to be seen. I was something of a scout. So I wore a good deal of brown and green. But I suppose that is not bad. Reminding you of grass-frosting and chocolate, or some such?"
That only left her chuckling to herself, again.

"Well, I can at least look. You've been kind enough to direct me along so far, after all."

Something like clothing might be good on occasion, at least. And it was only getting colder...

All the shopping would be good for them anyhow, considering everything.

Since Maebhrin was newly arrived, a certain amount of charity was something she would not refuse, but honor demanded she not take advantage of a kind heart.

She shook her head, rubbed a hoof over her face, and smiled. "But you may buy me one thing, without me thinking I shall have to do something for you in return. That, I can agree to. And you have my thanks."

"Okay, one thing then! We'll make it AWESOME!"
