[ It's a little traumatic to go to your nice, cozy home on the outskirts of Ponyville and find it already occupied. But indeed, what Fluttershy hears upon arrival at the front door is... her own voice coming from inside.

She stays just long enough to peek in a window and see herself cleaning things up before she flees the scene.

At which point she decides that the bridge in front of her house is the safest place to take up residence until she can muster the courage to go inside and see what's going on. In the meantime, she examines the new scroll in her possession. ]

[ A video post goes out some time after her arrival. ]

Um. Excuse me. I’m sorry to bother you all… it’s just that… um…

[ She opens her mouth and tries to speak, then glances behind her, offscreen, looking towards what was until very recently her hut. If she had the courage to go talk to her double right now, she would. But alas. ]

I was just… wondering. Well, it’s not very warm right now and… well, if anypony has a blanket they could spare? Just for tonight, I promise.

Oh, this was a bad idea. Never mind. [ The video clicks off. ]

[ The pegasus might be found wandering around Ponyville in something of a daze a little later, hiding under bushes and things while she tries to figure out what's going on. But for the most part, she'll stay under the bridge until it gets too cramped. And then she'll stay a little while longer. ]

Fluttershy, why are you under the bridge?

Um. I'm hiding.

And why are you hiding under the bridge?

Because...

There's somepony in my house?

...Who's in your house?

...

... Me.

[That's all it takes for Rainbow to understand.]

Aww jeez. Hold on. I'm coming.

[Rainbow rolls up the scroll, and true to form, drops down from above the bridge just a few moments later. Now Fluttershy gets her first hints that this Rainbow Dash isn't the 'right' one, thanks to the bracelet on one foreleg, the bladed projectile mounted on a launcher on the other, and the guitar slung over her back.]

Fluttershy?

[ Yep, this Rainbow sure has changed from last time Flutters saw her. ... which was recently, on her scroll, when another Rainbow contacted her. She scoots out from under the bridge. ]

Hi, Rainbow. Um... [ She pokes at the ground for a moment. ] Some other ponies have started explaining things to me.

Yeah... it's really messed up. That's the Fluttershy that belongs to THIS Equestria, and then there's another one here too, and then there's you.

[Rainbow appraises her friend thoughtfully, wondering idly if this Fluttershy is from HER Equestria or just a different one entirely. In all her time offworld, she's never met another 'Shy, so they wouldn't have any shared memories no matter what...]

Anyway, you can't stay under there all night.

I... guess not. [ She looks around, not sure where to go. ] Are there multiples of everypony? How did this happen? ...

[Rainbow motions her out again. She'll take her to the library if nothing else.] There are lots of different Equestrias out there, with copies of us on each one. Some of them are exactly like ours, and some of them are different.

Here alone, there's the six of us, then the Twilight Sparkle who's a digital clone of Twilight before she became a princess. There's Dame Rarity, who's a Rarity who can use advanced magic called bladecasting as a combat thing. There's an Applejack who's from the same place Twilight is, there's a Pinkie Pie who used to be human and another Pinkie Pie who's the same as Pinkie Pie but has also been to a space station. There's the other me, and there's the Flutters, who are you and the you that existed after Discord got to you, sharing the same body.

And that's just here. I've met a Rarity who got turned into a human even though I didn't, a Pinkie Pie who was always human that isn't the human Pinkie Pie we've seen here, another Applejack, another Pinkie Pie, another Twilight -- yeah, it just goes on.

Oh. That's ... a lot of us. How does everypony keep track of everypony else?

And-- where are you from? Somewhere, uh... [ She gulps and eyes the spear on Dash's back. } dangerous?

Aah, we've pretty much learned. I've got my stuff I picked up from other worlds -- my Blaster Edge, my awesome guitar -- [She notices Fluttershy eyeing it, and pulls the 'spear' around to reveal it really is just a guitar, all angular and pointy so no one could really blame her for misinterpreting.]

Twilight doesn't have wings, so that's easy. Dame Rarity... you can tell, even if she doesn't have her gems out. You just get used to it, y'know?

Me, I've been through four different worlds, and since this isn't my Equestria, I guess this is my fifth.

Oh, wow. You needed all that in the other worlds you were in? Were they really that bad? [ Fluttershy's eyes widen in concern for her friend. ]

The ship was. And I guess while I was in Garden it was rough outside... but I liked training to be a mercenary! ...except for the schoolwork.

I'd love to hear all about it. It sounds like a great adventure!

Oh... uh, hold on. I've been writing about it.

[Rainbow digs into the pockets of her coat, finally coming up with a couple of sheets of paper with some scrawl on them, which she offers to Fluttershy kind of messily.]

I put the final versions on the scrolls for everypony to read, but these are pretty close. That's just the stuff about Penrose, though. Still working on the ship, Clock Town, and Garden. The ship's...

[She looks away, swallowing.] That's a hard one.
