[ It's a little traumatic to go to your nice, cozy home on the outskirts of Ponyville and find it already occupied. But indeed, what Fluttershy hears upon arrival at the front door is... her own voice coming from inside.

She stays just long enough to peek in a window and see herself cleaning things up before she flees the scene.

At which point she decides that the bridge in front of her house is the safest place to take up residence until she can muster the courage to go inside and see what's going on. In the meantime, she examines the new scroll in her possession. ]

[ A video post goes out some time after her arrival. ]

Um. Excuse me. I’m sorry to bother you all… it’s just that… um…

[ She opens her mouth and tries to speak, then glances behind her, offscreen, looking towards what was until very recently her hut. If she had the courage to go talk to her double right now, she would. But alas. ]

I was just… wondering. Well, it’s not very warm right now and… well, if anypony has a blanket they could spare? Just for tonight, I promise.

Oh, this was a bad idea. Never mind. [ The video clicks off. ]

[ The pegasus might be found wandering around Ponyville in something of a daze a little later, hiding under bushes and things while she tries to figure out what's going on. But for the most part, she'll stay under the bridge until it gets too cramped. And then she'll stay a little while longer. ]

Maybe someday you two will see eye to eye. Even Discord needs a friend. He brought you into existence, didn't he? Do you really feel so terrible about that?

Think of it this way: Your mind, your entire personality was just shoved aside for the sake of having someone who wants to see everyone suffer and in despair, someone who only cares about cruelty, to occupy it and completely try to destroy the original personality.

Um- but- I'm sorry, I don't understand.

[ A little flustered, but not wanting to offend. Er, herself. ] You- if you both exist in the same body, then aren't you still Fluttershy, too?

[ ... Oh. Or! ] Do you want Discord to turn you back into Fluttershy?

[Fluttershy quickly takes control for damage control.]

Oh, no, that won't be necessary. We both share the same body and Fluttercruel likes who she is now. Um. She even has her own cutie mark.

Okay.

[ Quiet. ] You're sure? I could talk to him... if there's something he needs to make right.

No, it's- it's okay. Fluttercruel is just being a little harsh. At least Discord is apologizing for his actions, even if the girls sand Fluttercruel have already forgiven him.

I'll make sure he does that.

[ It's surprising how refreshing it is talking to her own face. She feels like she knows this pony a lot better than Fluttercruel. ]

Um-- [ Feels like she should say something else. ] You two seem to -- get along all right

...We, um, have moments where we don't... B- but, yes, we generally get along well...! I love Fluttercruel like a mother.

Not like- sorry, I don't know if this is strange. Not like a sister? You're- I assumed you were the same age...

...We don't actually know who's the older one... Fluttercruel could have been born when Discord put her into this body... or I could've been born when Twilight did the memory spell on me...

Oh. I guess you're right. [ She's not sure she has better reasoning than that. ]

Fluttercruel just didn't strike me as being... maternal, exactly. No offense.

You can say that she helps in the way she thinks is right.

... I'm sure she does. Even if it is a little bit strange.
