Dear Foreign Ponies,
First and foremost I would like to personally thank all of you for allowing me to make your gala outfits for this year's grand galloping gala. I had a lot of fun making each and every outfit and I felt proud to be able to accomplish such a grueling yet absolutely rewarding task.

Each outfit was tailored to your specific wants and needs. I made sure to keep them as close to the request as possible and I made sure to get every little detail perfect!

In return, I do hope that you ponies don't become strangers to my boutique. I'm not going to lie, I had fun creating clothes for you and I may have spotted possible model candidates for my up coming summer line.

So again, thank you dear ponies.

[She bites her lip, already considering the best way to get out of here without saying a word... but she knows she has to say something. She's gotta deal with this and not just ball it up.]

[Rainbow shuts her eyes and sighs.]

On the last world I was on... I fell for a guy.

DASHIE I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!

Aaah! Shhh! SHHHH!!

[She hurriedly reaches forward to stop Rarity's yelping with a hoof as she looks around frantically. No one heard that, right?!]

[Then she looks back at Rarity, utter confusion written all over her face.]

Proud?

[She pushed the hoof off her mouth]

Oh Dashie dear, why would you feel embarrassed about this? You should be telling the girls.

Okay, first of all, it's not like me. At all. I don't do stuff like this and you know it. It's embarrassing. Second of all, it was stupid and terrible. He's a jerk. He's rude and obnoxious and loud and annoying, he's human, he doesn't even like ponies very much, and he'd never, ever, ever in a million years ever look at me like that.

[She leans her forehead into Rarity's shoulder, half for comfort and half to hide the way her eyes are watering.]

...and I'm never gonna see him again.

Wait so...he doesn't know who you feel?

[She pulls her friend into a tight embrace, the poor thing.]

[Her voice is muffled, but no less sad for that.]

Telling him woulda been the second-stupidest thing I could've ever done. At least he was still my friend.

WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL HIM!?

He would've hated me for it! Yes, he would've. This isn't some fairy tail where things work out like that.

And how are you so sure about that? Darling you of all ponies should know how rewarding it is to take risks! Blueblood wasn't a fairy tail ending either but at least I tried.

Yes, Rarity. I know. And I'm telling you, read my lips, it would never have happened.

[She looks up, then reaches out to grab the unicorn's shoulders.]

Listen to me: he didn't even like ponies all that much. He was friends with me, but that was a special case. He wasn't interested in romance and even if he was, he never, ever would've considered me. It wasn't gonna happen. There was no chance, ever.

[Yeah. That sentence is exactly why she needed to tell somepony else -- because she needed to hear herself admit that. The tension drains out of her, and her hooves fall off Rarity's shoulders as she slumps.]

Oh darling...

[Her horn glows as she pulls one of the giant cleopatra sofas towards them. Rainbow Dash looked so drained it made Rarity feel horrible. Her poor friend.]

You know what you should do? You should write to him.

Write to him?

[She blinks a couple times before she looks up, trying to muster up a smile.]

It's not like he'd get it...

You never know.

All you need to do is write down everything. What you feel, what you've always wanted to tell him, every single secret you were too scared to mention. Then we either tie it to a balloon and let it float away or put it in a bottle and toss it into the ocean...or give it to twilight to be sent into oblivion.

Who knows, maybe he'd find it and come looking for you. It's never too late to try after all.

[Rainbow opens her mouth to make some complaint about how stupid the idea is, how Ed isn't Princess Celestia... ]

[But she can't voice it, because the idea hooks her in a way she doesn't quite understand, but is nevertheless very powerful. Writing everything down, letting everything out, and then sending it away.]

[She shuts her mouth, turns the whole idea over in her head once more, and then shakes her head... with a smile.]

I have no idea why that crazy idea is so good, but... it's brilliant!

Of course it is dear, I thought of it.

And so modest, too! You got a quill and some paper I could borrow?

[A quill and scroll float towards the two]

Oh I'm so proud of you Dashie, all grown up and in love.

C'mon, Rarity. I'm embarrassed enough that a pony as cool and together as ever got so soft to begin with. Let's not make a big deal out of this, okay? Besides, you'd have hated him.

[She grabs the quill in her teeth, then stares down at the paper thoughtfully.]

Or maybe I won't, you can never be so sure.

[Rainbow looks back up at Rarity, then grins wryly.]

He hates magic and thinks ponies shouldn't wear clothing. You tell me how sure I can be.
